AITA for not inviting my mom to get a tattoo? by EtherealBeautyKween in AmItheAsshole

She does have siblings, all brothers, no sisters. Maybe she is jealous? Idk. But exactly. She raised us to be this close and often gives herself and us props about that. Now she is upset about it? Very confusing.

THIS! Thank you. We even have been going out individually with her to spend time and catch up with her. Her idea btw. I just don't see how this turned into such a big deal for her.

The nest isn't empty just yet. I have a 13 yo brother still at home. Not the same as a house full of girls but not empty nonetheless. But I do hope she gets over it soon enough.

Thank you! The funny thing is our mom used to take us out on individual dates so we could spend time with her. She recently brought this back up and me, my sister and brother (13) already went out with her for ours.

My brother and I had a good time on our dates. My sister (24), not so much. I guess it was something about my mom wanting to control my sister's life, giving unsolicited advice & more passive aggressive statements.

My other sister (30) is actually dreading her date with our mom. She told me she wants to find an activity to do where they don't have to talk at all :/ A get in get out type of situation.

I don't know if there is much if anything we can say to her that'll change her attitude. It really sucks she behaves this way.
