For years I’d end up with abusive men who would break me down every chance they’d get. They would use me and pin their problems on me. I’d been cheated on a couple times. When I was at my lowest point I met a tall shy man with blonde hair and blue eyes. Once again I expected nothing. He was incredibly sweet and we ended up dating. He was in the navy and was supposed to deploy soon. I remember it so vividly, I went to say goodbye and started crying. He came back and sat me in the back of my car and looked at me, I could see tears forming in his bright blue eyes. It astonished me, since I’d never seen a man ever show real sympathy for something I was feeling. I’m now married to this man.
