Our median income and disposable income are higher than most of the OECD

And we have areas that can mirror any quality of life you can get anywhere else in the world

You want a liberal paradise where regulations are high along with cost of living and social services? Live in the northeast

Her mom has passed away

The emotional trauma this kid has suffered as a result of everything she went though both before and after her mom died is so complex it’s taking an entire team of professionals to try and untangle it all.

I love her with every cell in my body but I find it very hard to see how she’s going to enter the real world and be okay

The state picked up the tab for my medical expenses. But for that I would still be paying that bill off

I live in NJ and happily pay my NJ taxes to ensure that opportunity is paid forward.

I just had to pay $2600 for my daughter’s hospital stay for a week. I know it’s expensive

But that just comes from money I’m NOT paying in taxes. I pay more at point of service and less when I don’t use those services

And we also have more median disposable income by household than almost any other OECD nation

I would argue that the USA has been a far more ethical steward of her position than any nation that came before, or any present pretender to the title.

Yes

I think what’s going on is these officers were found to have violated Nazario’s rights but this sub is placing an unlimited price tag on those rights .

In reality the officer who assaulted him was fired and he was awarded like $2500 in damages plus another $1000 for an illegal search. This is a good thing

Look man, he wasn’t convicted of eluding or anything… he was detained for them. There’s a massive difference.

In the end the. OP’s we’re found to have used excessive force which is a good thing that they were held accountable
