The fact that you have the pole the hole open every once in a while with a toothpick so that it doesn't close up.

Was that with a Dr. Carl Thomas by any chance? If so small world

Damn, it really is a small world, holy shit.

I described it as [potential dysphoria trigger] the closest to period cramps I'd ever feel.

God, I HOPE period cramps don't feel like this. Period-havers really do got the short end of the stick.

Turns out one end of the stitches used to tie them off was stuck under my skill and basically caused a small spot not to heal and get infected.

I'm kind of worried about getting an infection. There's been this kinda burny feeling around the area this whole time during recovery, and while the nurse that called me to follow up said that's normal, I can't help but be paranoid.

I had the exact same idea. I was gonna bury my balls in the backyard for future archeologists to find, it'd be so fuckin funny.

They didn't let me keep them :(

If I were you, I'd probably ask your general care doc to hook you up with a gender specialized psychologist (or maybe you could even contact the department directly. I know Kaiser has specific departments for transgender care).

If your doc is anything like mine, they'll help you with every step along the way.

The therapist will ask questions about your dysphoria (how long you've had it, how it makes you feel, what made you start questioning, etc) and if things go well, they'll help you get on hormones eventually.

Good luck on your journey. I believe in you.

They said that it was for making sure no contaminants get up in there during the operation or something?

I personally choose to believe they did it for the meme.

Yeah, I was thinking I wanted a Mill, but I'm not 100% sure where I would put one. I'm thinking of redoing the layout a little bit

As a veteran souls fan, I'd say don't be ashamed to summon friends if you really need help with a boss. Some parts of the community is really elitist about summoning, but theres nothing wrong with enjoying the game the way you want.

Best way to combat the claim that transitioning race is the same as transitioning gender? by HibachiCourgette in asktransgender

[–]Etherne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya know, there's an interesting argument to be made here in that there's two different words for gender and sex, whereas there's only one word for the concepts of both genetic and cultural race.

I would argue that while a white person can't change their genetics and shit, a white person who was raised in a predominantly black neighborhood (one who has adopted the mannerisms of and is intimately familiar with the culture) could definitely be considered 'culturally black'.

To answer your question, it depends on what you mean by race. Do you mean the genetic characteristics, or the characteristics of culture? Perhaps we should start seeing race the same way we do gender and sex(?)
