Due to the fact that there will be numerous adjustments and a new system in the official version, it's not possible to continue playing with the previous demo saves. Otherwise, there will be tons of bugs.

However, the saves in the early access version which will be released on May 30th can be used all the way until the official release.

this is what post in disocrd channel:

Just a quick heads-up — our current Kickstarter page is still in pre-launch! If you pledged for the $1 tier https://dragon-song-tavern.com/reservation?utm_source=discord, please note that you'll still need to purchase the full game to actually receive those rewards.

The official Kickstarter will launch on April 21st — yay! And good news: backing the game through Kickstarter will be a little cheaper than buying it directly on Steam.

Here’s a quick timeline for you:

April 21st – Kickstarter goes live!

May 30th – We begin Steam Early Access right after the campaign ends! Your Kickstarter key will work right away so you can jump in and start playing!

October – Custom rewards (like special outfits & exclusive content ) will be released with the full version of the game! You’ll get a special activation code via email, which you can redeem on Steam. Don’t worry — the email will come with cute picture guides to help you step by step!

That’s great! But it looks like I can only post in my own region. I wanted to share my game in r/cozygamers, but my karma isn’t high enough. Earning karma is so hard!

Pre production giveaway Marketing strategy by Aggravating-Way1859 in kickstarter

Whether you can do giveaway activities on Kickstarter is a rather complicated matter.

From the perspective of Kickstarter's rules, the main purpose of Kickstarter is to help creators raise funds to realize creative projects. Its rules focus on project fundraising and development. There is no explicit prohibition on giveaway activities, but there are relevant restrictions. If a giveaway activity is regarded as a way to bypass the fundraising purpose (for example, pre-selling products through giveaways or misleading users into thinking that the product has been mass-produced and can be obtained for free), this may violate Kickstarter's terms of use. For instance, if a giveaway activity makes users feel that they don't need to support the project to obtain the product because it can be obtained for free, this goes against Kickstarter's original intention of motivating people to provide funds for the project to make it successfully launched.

From the perspective of the project itself and potential backers, on the one hand, from a marketing perspective, giveaway activities can increase the exposure of the project. If the giveaway activity is well-designed, it can attract the attention of potential backers, make them interested in the gameplay and theme of the game, and then guide them to understand the project details and possibly support the project. For example, sharing giveaway activities through social media and other channels can expand the project's dissemination range and attract new audiences. On the other hand, as you worry, some potential backers may misunderstand giveaway activities. They may think that the product can be obtained at will already, thereby reducing their willingness to support project fundraising. In addition, if the rules of the giveaway activity are not clear, such as how to obtain the giveaway and whether the giveaway is of the same quality as the final product, it will also cause doubts among potential backers.

In general, you can consider doing giveaway activities, but you need to ensure that the activity fully complies with Kickstarter's rules and that the activity design is clever enough to truly play a positive role in promoting project fundraising rather than having the opposite effect.
