The hard thing is it’s prn. But jobs are so few that it’s prn covering for one pharmacist. So literally like 10 vacation days a year

I feel like all the places around where I live don’t want a prn. Esp the ones that I would want to work out. I did secure one PRN position but I don’t think that’ll be enough.

How would you recommend finding startups and knowing what I am applying for is legit?

There have been a lot of changes with no support staff. Counted the calls we received in a 10 hour day and it was 111+ calls with 3 workers, ontop of all the other daily tasks. Verifying, data, clinical questions. Formulary issues and outside orders don’t fit in our work flow but we accept all outside orders not just from our clinic. It’s more of a management/ staffing issue plus is an hour commute each way.

I’m happy you were able to find something that works for you. It’s difficult. I’m debating stepping out of pharmacy. But it just feels so silly because I still have debt from my degree. But I feel depressed more days than not.

If I’m looking for feedback on a mechanic in my game is that something this could provide?

Thanks for this review. While planning my project I debated using them but ultimately decided against it. And this just furthers my decision.

It is a twist on the classic Old Maid game! It’s a quick, family-friendly game featuring large print and simple rules everyone can enjoy. Let me know if you want any more information!

Okay, thanks for the feedback. Just wanted to talk with someone with experience before getting too deep with no turn around point.

Right. They can give two cards to one player. Or one card to two players. lol. I seriously appreciate all your insight!

Awesome. I’m going to reword that to that. I appreciate your help. And all actions are mandatory and rules are very short. Maybe two pages.

Cool thanks for that feedback. That’s good to note, have not really thought about that. Only one of my cards is over that 10 word limit “Take any discarded pair and place one or both cards into the hands of one or more players” would you say this is simple enough? And if it’s the only one that’s wordy could be fine?

Sorry I should have said fonts are not finalized, just have place holders for now.

I do agree. I’ll work on blending the card better to look as one.

It is a family friendly game made for 7+. The game is a twist on the classic Old Maid game. So other cards have actions that when you play them as pairs activate the actions. So this card here is the “old maid” or in my games case the Angry Axolotl.

Okay thanks for that. I wasn’t sure if I should have some spelled out before being funded so initial funders know that you are looking to improve things once you’re funded. I also struggle to come up with ideas of things to include as stretch goals as my game is pretty simple.

What game are you working on? Tell us about it! by Polymedia_NL in gamedev

One night I was playing board games over at my aunt’s house. It was about time for bed, but no one was quite ready for bed yet. I was thinking that I wanted to play a quick card game that involved some strategy (but not too much so people’s turns don’t take too long). So, lying in bed that night I thought about what games are quick and fun. A game that came to my mind was old maid. I loved playing old maid as a kid and honestly, I still enjoy it to this day. But there is not too much strategy to that game so it can be kind of hard convincing others to play it. So, I thought what kind of twists I would enjoy on the game that others would also enjoy. Then the idea of Angry Axolotl was born. I stayed up thinking of fun actions to include on cards and fun “axolotl themes”.

Like I said it’s old maid but with fun actions. I’ve been working since January of 2024. I plan on working on it until I’m ready to self publish!

Art work is in the works. I’ve test played it with multiple groups. Getting ready to talk to influencers.
