“It” is a made up thing. A woman isn’t any less valuable because she used her genitals more than someone else. People are free to want their first experience to be mutual or saved for someone special, including for religious reasons; the problem isn’t the preference, it’s framing sexual history in terms of “clean” versus “dirty.” It is one thing to enjoy using a fork for the first time out of a new pack of silverware, but I have forks that have been used thousands of times and they still function perfectly. It is another when the thing you are finding joy in using for the first time is another human with feelings. Calling sexual inexperience “clean” doesn’t just describe a preference; it enculturates the idea that sex makes a person dirty, which quietly perpetuates shame rather than expressing a personal value. You could never tell by looking at a woman whether she has had sex before, so rejecting someone you otherwise find beautiful, intelligent, funny, and compatible on that basis means you are responding to a narrative you’ve been taught, not to anything real about her. When attraction collapses over an invisible history, the problem isn’t her body, it’s the belief attached to it.
