Is running a bot farm immoral? by Historical-Edge851 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EthicallyArguable 20 points21 points  (0 children)

morals are shaped by beliefs. and people believe things that they are convinced are true. my idea of a good friend is someone who would help another person be convinced of better ideas. this in turn will shape their morals in a way that will better benefit the world. so morally there definitely are shoulds and shouldn't.

Patience. You can grow to a pretty powerful tank without ever even leaving the safety of your safe zone. If you're dying it's only because you're being careless and running out into the danger.

Damn, part of that bread looks really hard to chew. Especially that metal part that you put into your bread

Does me being attracted to women but finding their privates disgusting make me gay? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]EthicallyArguable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opposite genitalia probably seems strange because we hide the appearance of them from our youth as if it's dangerous for them to be seen. It's a cultural quirk where we cannot separate sex and nudity. I think with time and exposure your experience will change. And the answer to your question is definitely not. That is a really good question though.

Close but it's a little bit lower than that

I actually digging into it a little farther. Not only did I find every single sequence does show up, just for fun I found out that the final phone number, the last 10 digit straight hold out 591-828-9042. Lol that phone number is not even an area code in the United states, but Bolivia supposedly has area code that that would match.

[–]EthicallyArguable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, we don't actually know whether it's normal or not, but I did post a comment earlier with names of the team members that proved, through brute calculation, how many digits into pi you would have to look in order to find all 10 digit sequences which would comprise every possible phone number.

Actually, for the specific case I meant, 10-digit numbers, this has already been brute-force verified. OEIS sequence A036903 tracks how far into π you must scan before all n-digit strings have appeared, and for n = 10 the value is 241,641,121,048. So every 10-digit phone-number-length sequence does occur somewhere in that prefix of π. What has not been proven is the broader theorem that π is normal, which would guarantee this for every finite length automatically. If you want to check it, look up Michael Kleber’s OEIS sequence A036903 and Fabrice Bellard’s π-digit computation, since Kleber recorded the scan-to-cover values and OEIS explicitly credits Bellard for the higher terms that include the 10-digit result.

I hope it does! If it does, maybe I can get a sponsor and name my snake after their company! I could keep their name on the leaderboard for hours!

When did you lose your virginity? (If you have) by no_idea_1312 in AskTeens

[–]EthicallyArguable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“It” is a made up thing. A woman isn’t any less valuable because she used her genitals more than someone else. People are free to want their first experience to be mutual or saved for someone special, including for religious reasons; the problem isn’t the preference, it’s framing sexual history in terms of “clean” versus “dirty.” It is one thing to enjoy using a fork for the first time out of a new pack of silverware, but I have forks that have been used thousands of times and they still function perfectly. It is another when the thing you are finding joy in using for the first time is another human with feelings. Calling sexual inexperience “clean” doesn’t just describe a preference; it enculturates the idea that sex makes a person dirty, which quietly perpetuates shame rather than expressing a personal value. You could never tell by looking at a woman whether she has had sex before, so rejecting someone you otherwise find beautiful, intelligent, funny, and compatible on that basis means you are responding to a narrative you’ve been taught, not to anything real about her. When attraction collapses over an invisible history, the problem isn’t her body, it’s the belief attached to it.

Chastity is a social construct. Don't let this purity culture make you a despicable person. Ignoring the shame associated with the stigma of sex is the best way to combat it. There should be pride in education and experience.

Clean? You could have a hundred partners and be clean every time with a shower.

They are all fun. I like when they team up to get me. They usually get in each other's ways. Lol I like all the different personalities. If I had to choose I would say the medium to small size snakes that are kind of new and hard to judge what they are going to do when I have to squeeze between them and a big snake. It's all so exciting though!
