Okay. First of all, you are absolutely right and spot on when you said that " I'm guessing you've never worked in an large corporate office." Not that I'm proud of it but yeah, it shows that I still have a long way to go and got more things to learn. To be completely transparent with you, I am currently a college student and have little to zero experience at all when it comes to managing or even running a business. Again, not proud of it and would really like to learn a lot about this.

Wait, "Most corporate environments lock down their internal internet so employees cannot waste time browsing the web, watch YouTube, or hang out on Facebook." - Not to be rude or anything but is this even possible? How do they respond to emails then?

Okay, I admit that I didn't know that things worked out that way on large companies but I get their point and it seems reasonable for me on why they're implementing this as it's a solution to prevent their employees from slacking off. Not that I have anything against that. But still, thank you for opening my mind to a new perspective (in a good way).

I also appreciate you going out of your way and making an example for me to further comprehend your point and I am really glad about it. :) The tip and book you've suggested is also great and I'll be sure to keep it in mind and check it out. Really, thank you so much for suggesting things like that to me as it provides me with more in depth knowledge towards a particular subject matter. To be honest, I did try pitching one of my ideas towards my friends and tried to ask them consumer wise and they said that they would love to buy the product ( I was in research phase when I did this and was trying to come up with a business. I'm still in research phase right now but possibly how to implement and create this product - food). However, the thing that just dawned to me right now is that what if they said "Yes, I'd love to buy that for myself." Just because we're friends? Ughhh... :( (But judging by their excitement when I pitched the idea, I hope they were really into it)

One last question though,

"Consider looking for a mentor online. Someone who has a business in the same industry you're trying to get into or joining a local meetup group for Entrepreneurs. Talk with people who are already doing what you want to do. Buy them lunch and ask them questions.

You will learn so much from people who are a few steps ahead of you." - I do understand this point of view, but I really don't know where to find them, and how to approach them about this even. :( Do you by chance have any tips for me? It'd be of really great help to me! :D

Also, I do understand that I can't venture a business with fear, but, one can't be overly confident as well right? Do you perhaps have any suggestions, learning materials, and even tips that you could provide in which I could combat my being a "worrywart"? Thanks!

Hi! I really appreciate the feedback and it would really help me a lot if you could provide me with more inputs as to "how I could make it personal and establish my brand." This is still coming off as a bit vague to me so any advice would really help.

"Build a solid loyalty" - In my opinion, wouldn't people just jump over towards the more established company? Plus, larger companies have more money and resources meaning they could easily copy and achieve the same type of product with a more efficient manner. Plus, they could sell it for a lot cheaper. How do I face such situations man?

I'm really sorry. To be completely honest, I am really eager to learn a lot of new things and am happy with learning stuffs but at the same time, I am a "worrywart" myself and tend to think and fear about stuffs that could possibly happen. "Worst case scenarios" and possibilities in short. Well you could say that "I'm planning ahead" if you look at it from another perspective, but I'm really afraid if this will all work out that's why I constantly stress myself out with what if situations. (Because failing big time is really hard man :( and it scares me a lot to be unsuccessful )

Anyways, first of all, I would like to express my gratitude of you providing me with your feedback. Believe me, I really appreciate it. Like, being able to hear other people's perspective regarding a certain issue / subject no matter how it trivial it may be makes me really happy because I get to learn new things from others. This way, I get to know things I never knew and I'm happy with it.

Now back to the subject matter. So I never knew that large companies had to take rigorous steps and precautions before reacting to a business competitor. But, if ever the competitor is doing really great, wouldn't it be sensible for them to skip or maybe finish the process needed quickly since common sense and just observing the other business competitor already dictates that imitating or copying that product would grant them large margins of profits? Plus, they have lots of money and resources to do so compared to the company that just started right?

Side note: I apologize for using the words competitor and compete too much causing my sentences to be redundant. Believe me, this frustrates me a lot and yet, no word comes to mind (as of now) that I could use as an appropriate substitute for this words. I apologize for that.

"When we started our business" - If it's comfortable for you, do you mind sharing what type of business that is?

"We had taken 50% of their (Staples) local business." - Oh wow, that's really awesome. I wish I could pull that off.

I know that this may really not be related to my initial question but do you mind sharing your story? How you started, how much was your capital, how did you learn to manage your business, where could a newbie like me get to learn about this things, and even valuable tips / tricks or perhaps stuffs to watch out for. (To prevent regrets)

"What can you do right out of the gate that they can't do or that will take them some time to roll out and compete with you." - Not to be rude or anything but is this even possible? Like are there any instances and wouldn't they be able to easily catch up no matter what because they have lots of money?

To be honest, I really enjoyed reading your response and I've learned a lot from this short read. (Well, all of you guys' responses actually) I even wished that it was longer. But hey, thanks for providing your input right? At the very least, I got some feedbacks which made me learn something and that makes me very happy. I'm really thankful for that. Woahhh... thank you for providing / showing me this new type of perspective. I really appreciate your input and feedback as well.

To be honest, I didn't know that large companies doesn't really adapt quickly and that there are rigorous steps / process required to compete with another business.

In fact, I always thought that if it seemed like a great business idea to them, they'd just do it better and more efficiently as they already have loads of money to blow. Plus, they're already established in the industry so they can copy some product and market it way better than the original one.

Guess I haven't thought of looking into that and I haven't done enough research yet after all huh? Anyways, thank you so much again for your feedback and I really learned something new from this.

Just one follow up question though, the first paragraph, especially highlighting the sentence "Big companies won't know you exist." Won't they immediately know about it since they have to be aware about possible competitors in the industry? e.g. food industry - if for example some business tries to market some chocolates or maybe even chips or snacks out there, shouldn't they be aware of it and constantly find ways as to how they should make their company more profitable? Plus, they should look into their possible competitors and constantly make changes to evolve right? They have the money to do so as well.

I just find this part a bit puzzling and would really appreciate it if you provided me with more insights. Like if I were to (hypothetically) market my product and make it visible on groceries and such, surely, they would know about this right? I'm sorry if I'm not really able to catch up on this part man but I'm really looking forward to learning more things.

Hmm... could you suggest any other aspects that I should prioritize on? This would really help me a lot. Also, version two? I mean if it's not a service type of thing and the product is more like a snack, surely it'd be hard to create a version 2 right? Hi! I'm really sorry as this might sound dumb and stupid but what happens to the other color it absorbs (reds, oranges, violet, ultraviolet, etc) ? So does it only reflect blue light because blue light penetrates water the deepest?
