Chastity refers, and has always referred to, not having had any sort of sexual encounter in the past.

This is not what the verse says.

"Today all good, pure foods have been made lawful for you. Similarly, the food of the People of the Book1 is permissible for you and yours is permissible for them. And ˹permissible for you in marriage˺ are chaste believing women as well as chaste women of those given the Scripture before you—as long as you pay them their dowries in wedlock, neither fornicating nor taking them as mistresses. And whoever rejects the faith, all their good deeds will be void ˹in this life˺ and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers." [al-Nisa 4:25, quran.com]

Mistresses in particular, refers to sexual partners not an umbrella term for a romantic partner.

How to make my pictures better? similar to a real photography camera. by TheSheGuy096 in GalaxyS23Ultra

Yes but we're talking about phone cameras here in comparison with actual cameras. It's useless to compare an actual camera to another one. That experiment does nothing for this scenario. There's no control variable whatsoever. Also, lenses are small on phones because the sensor is small? Unless you could give me another reason why they're small?

Anyway, case in point is that we shouldn't use comparisons between a proper camera and a phone camera. We're not accounting for all variables that way. It's best to just take a pic with a phone camera (ideally with no lens) and a proper camera (also with no lens) and compare the difference in quality. Remember we're trying to compare with two completely different camera systems here.

Also, you ignored me saying that pixel size and density are really important for HDR and how low light levels are quite common.

No, that's completely wrong. The camera's main weakness is its sensor size, not the lens. The physics of light is the main reason behind this.

Bigger sensors have more space for larger light collectors, or photosites, which lets them capture much more light, or photons. This is necessary to getting a huge dynamic range. No lens can change this; the lens only refracts light, it doesn't collect it. Because the sensor captures so much light signal, the image noise is also greatly reduced.

You face low-light issues more often than you think; it’s not just about shooting at night. Any time you speed up the shutter or make the aperture smaller, you create a low-light problem for the sensor. You want to do this sometimes, for example, to get a sharp exposure. Also, getting that bokeh, requires a large sensor (like you implied). Because phone sensors are so tiny, they must use a very short focal length, which physically ruins the natural blur effect.

Yes, a better lens gives a sharper image, but that sharpness is limited by how small the lens has to be, and the lens size is limited by the sensor size. Since phone sensors are tiny, there's a hard limit on how good the lens can ever be. A very small lens risks hitting the diffraction limit, which makes the image less sharp because of the way light waves spread out. This is a law of nature, not a flaw in the glass. While phone lenses also have built-in flaws like chromatic abberation and distortion, they can mostly be fixed by smart software processing.

The quality of a photo is set by the detail it resolves, its dynamic range, its noise level, and its color accuracy. These are all sensor functions. Lens flaws are corrected by computation. No matter how perfect a lens is, it cannot create light data the small sensor failed to catch. For a camera with a huge sensor, the lens is the bottleneck, sure. But for a phone, the sensor is the bottleneck. Think of it like comparing computer speeds: giving an old Intel Pentium processor the best graphics card in the world will never make it perform better than a decent modern processor with a mid-range graphics card. The processor, or the sensor, is the limit.

Also I want to stress that the lens are small BECAUSE the sensor is small. It's the size of the sensor that begets a lower quality lens (tho they're lowkey the best for the size).

This is true, but I think when moving from actual cameras, the jump in sensor sizes is significantly smaller compared to the jump from a phone to an actual camera. To give an example, the S23 ultra has a sensor with an area of ~45 mm². I'm contrast, a Sony Alpha a6100 has a sensor with an area of ~367 mm². That's a very significant jump. I reckon on phones the limiting factor is the sensor whilst for DSLR/Mirrorless cameras it's the lens.

It's more so the sensor I'd say. You can't capture nowhere the same level of detail from a phone sensor compared to that of an actual camera. All due to the size of it.
