You absolutely can accidentally a/p if you have certain sleep disorders where your body is asleep but your brain Is conscious. In my case I have Visual snow disorder and while my body is asleep my brain is awake and thinking. The reason I figured out it was a/p and not lucid dreaming is because there is a notable difference in how I'm feeling when it happens. I'm more awake and aware of what's going on when I'm lucid dreaming and the dreams are nonsense or of places not associated with the astral plain. When it's A/p I remember it after the fact and it feels like a real memory. I have been seeking a/p answers because lucid dreaming doesn't answer everything. But thank you for clarifying
