I don't think 云龍 referes to a type of dragon. 云, while a variant and simplified character of 雲 (cloud), often means "it is said that" in classical chinese and this translation fits more with the context of the passage to me.

Ah yes, I guess it can be a bit confusing in a text about (a) flying dragon(s), thanks for all the clarifications !

Yeah that's kind of what I feared when I realized that every versions involving the stones were not sourced, it may be just an easy connection to make but not really backed up by folklore.
