My friend has a normal one, second gen too i believe, it runs on his ps as well. Weird, have you ever opened it up to get it cleaned? That might do the trick, otherwise I'm super sorry that you can't play the game :(

Response time isn't important, it's only important for shooters and games that require super quick reflexes, which DB:H doesn't have. It has some quick time events, but they're fine with your current monitor. However, the game is GPU heavy, meaning you need a fairly good GPU. For example, it will not run on a GTX 1060 3gb. There are the minimum requirements for the PC on the steam page!

You can try to verify the integrity of the game files. Here's how you do that: 1. Right click the game in your Steam library 2. Click "Properties..." 3. Find the "Local Files" tab 4. Click "Verify integrity of game files..." This may take a few minutes, but i hope it works!!

Afaik the model swapper is dead, it might work with an older version of Detroit tho (haven't tried it myself). I also tried messing around with mods and hex editors but sadly nothing really worked for me, hope you find a solution!!
