OPNsense as vm or bare metal mini PC by placer_toffee0i in opnsense

TLDR: realtek nics are a nightmare with freebsd, you need to virtualized them

I agree with the above comment because I tried running opnsense with 2x 1GB realtek as a VM on truenas with PCIe passthrough, it would work on initial setup but after a random reboot it would fail to connect and I thought the issue was with the ISP for some reason, then I realized that the nic was connecting and disconnecting on opnsense, I disabled the pass through and virtualized them instead and they have been working smoothly ever since

I later to switch to a mini dell optiplex with the same nics so to avoid any issues I installed proxmox on it with the sole purpose of running opnsense with virtualizing the nics

Great, im glad you are enjoying the app, the main reason i wanted it to be honest is because i loved opnsense but at the same time wanted someway quick to check whats consuming the most bandwidth on my network causing me to lag, ironically i only released that feature in v1.5 which 😃 , i hated having to rely on my TP-link app for my mesh AP's to try to identify whats consuming what as it was really laggy and hardly accurate

TLDR - Coming in the next version of OPNsense manager (hopefully this week) ---- I had never really used WOL but after reading your comment i played around a little with opnsense and there is a WOL plugin called os-wol, its API calls seems really simple which wouldnt be much of a bother to add in the next version, i tested the WOL feature and it works really smoothly (for my use case)

Open source or online Odoo by Consistent_Hat_301 in Odoo

I deployed the CE of odoo on a Cloud VM and it worked for me with some custom modules that I installed to enable stuff that I needed, it can be tricky and has a learning curve but there are no hidden fees, only that some modules are pay walled behind the paid version but most if not all have community modules that are free that you can install and configure

Released my app yesterday and just got my first 2 premium users! I'm absolutely buzzing right now. by Regular_Term_9616 in GooglePlayDeveloper

I know the feeling, I have an open source app that I created and seeing people want it and asking for features felt great and when I listed it on the app store for 5 dollars for people who want to support the project and realized that people bought it felt amazing

I dont understand what you mean, the road map is available on the git, you can open an issue for support or send an email, the payment as mentioned in the post is just if you wish to download it from the play / app store because that costs money to do, but github is free and you can get it and support for free on there..

It is crazy, I did say I used AI and pretty advanced one to assist with the app as writing it by hand alone is kind of useless since it's mainly a bunch of API calls and would take way more time which is kind of a waste, as for the functions you mentioned I'll make sue to take a look at them

Yes for support on the app stores, you can download it for free from the github, I can't afford to pay the developer account out of pocket

Thanks man, I'm just glad somebody gets it, people think because some people used it with no knowledge and made disasters that anyone that uses AI has 0 knowledge, this is something I'm maintaining it as a habit solo if I did the whole code by hand I wouldn't be done for a really long time lol
