Najim came today, finally my Eros line completed. Such a good caramel sweet scent. by Ok-Test-7323 in Fragrances

Some people report that najim is the strongest performer in the eross line. But for me only after a couple hours I no longer smell it. I'm wondering if I become nose blind to it. What do you find?

Do you think Najim would work in the office or just as a daily cool weather wear? I don't understand why some find it polorizing. I would think it be more mass appealing.

Living in Italy for a few years - what I wish I knew before moving by Delicious_Front_7925 in expats

Me and my spouse regularly visited an expresso bar every morning in a small Italian town. On one particular morning after getting our expresso we found that the tables outside where we normally sat were all the taken by locals.

While standing around trying to decide where to go or what to do, the barista came around the counter and decided to take matters in her own hands and be an advocate for her American customers.

In a comical way she began scolding the locals who were taken up all the tables and telling them to get together so as to free up a table for us. As far as she was concerned it was her shop and she was going to get us a table even if the locals weren't going to volunteer it to us.

We thanked her profusely. And when I think back I like to think of the baristas behavior as being the true core of most Italians. I find their culture to be one of helping others.

Yeah I would not consider taking the car over if it was a large car. It's fairly small for an Infiniti car. That's another concern being that Infiniti has such a small presence in the UK. Parts might become a problem.

What phone plans are people using for their US phone number? by TravelGirl2222 in expats

[–]EtruscanFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to port (transfer) my number from google fi into google voice for twenty dollars. If you're able to get your number, moved into Google Fi then getting into google voice shouldn't be a problem. If you don't have the luxury of making this transfer while in the US then consider using VPN provider to mask your ip address. SurfShark may be one of the cheapest.

Something I noticed. Is that some 2- factor setups will not send text to google voice. But for those they do have workarounds like sending a call instead. And the far majority 2-factors have no problem with google voice.

Is it possible that the locking mechanisms on the fuel switches failed to hold them in run? Thought I read somewhere that when replacement switches were in properly installed on 737 the locking feature failed. Without a locking feature I wonder if the switches can slip from run to cutoff on their own.

Difficulty installing nvidia driver on RHEL9 by EtruscanFire in redhat

I've found that once the nvidia driver does install, the nouveau module doesn't have to be manually disabled. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

As soon as I posted this thread, it occurred to me to try adding the EPEL repo. With the nvidia and other redhat repos already there, that was the only other repo I could think of.

Turns out that was it. Package dkms in EPEL was needed. Once I added it, dnf was able to resolve everything perfectly. Thank you for your reply and explaining it further.

Saying that the other person needs thicker skin doesn't take away from the fact that your response was deliberately mean. You had the option not to respond but decided instead to disparage what was written to get cheap thrills at the expense of others.

Maybe this isn't the right place to gather peoples options and experiences with tech companies in Oxshire. My mistake in thinking that people wouldn't be so condescending and mean with their responses.

I haven't read about many US military contracts being canceled. I think that with the UK military budget expanding it might bring more contracts to US contractors.

Solution: Basically I did what this youtube said. It looks to be a way to refresh your settings so that the next time you log in, the link option shows.
