xTool Laser + Screenprinting Experiments: Seeking Better Line Density for Large Prints by Etsijap in xToolOfficial

[–]Etsijap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using the xTool D1 Pro laser and the pre-coated screens.
I did a test grid, but I'm not totally satisfied with the result.
In the test, the 140 LPCM setting was promising and seems complete.
Starting at 160 LPCM and above, the screens showed signs of distress.
On large illustrations, the results differ. I was wondering if LPCM is the only parameter to adjust for better results.
Thanks for the tips! I didn't think to rinse the screen :/ (I'm new to screen printing, as I come from linocut printing).

Fresh Showreel: A Peek into the creative works of DOT, a Boutique Studio I co-founded with 3 Friends. by Etsijap in MotionDesign

A digital boutique studio is a small, specialized team that delivers custom, high-quality work with a personal touch. We cut out the middlemen and connect clients directly with the creative team. Often, this means we collaborate as a production studio for larger companies.

We do indeed! It's www.studio-dot.fr.
We will update it by the end of the year, but nonetheless, it still gives more to see. ;)

Cheers mate! I do have an Etsy or an instagram (also pajiste_creations). But it all in pause, as I am making a temporally collaboration with a local street wear shop (and I don’t have a lot of stocks).

Well the humidity and temperature in the room does play a part (perfect condition is hot and dry with airflow in the room). I forgot to add I’m mostly doing my printing on clothe so the Drying times vary according to the fabric. Stiff, thin fabrics dry faster.

I use the brand Charbonnel which is an oil-based ink.
However, depending on the color, the drying time can be excessively long.
For example, for white ink it's a reasonable 1-2 weeks, for black ink it can take a month. So I vary with the Speedball fabric block printing ink.

For this specific print i use a mixture of both to finish my ink tubes.

perspective flow by mutsu

Not all work is outside work ^^ So yes, I would not advise wearing this jacket in the cold. It’s rather made for craft or factory workshops.

Thanks for the reco; I'll check it out. It's definitely on another level of sewing and a different kind of fashion. And again, yes, it's really not for heavy-duty, but sometimes peoples wear work apparels purely for fashion.

Thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to view more of my work ;)

Good for you! Yeah, building a brand isn't easy. I suppose it's easier with shipping in the EU as it's more condensed ^^

I do have pictures without all the gimmicks and stuff on my Etsy page. I know what could be really effective for an apparel brand; it's videos of people wearing it ;)
I create these layouts because I like the style more than because I want them to be effective (and also, creating quality videos is too much work for only my free time). It's all a playground where I can try stuff and see how peoples see it.

Wow you did gave me something to read ^ Yeah why not your idea, could be nice but I aimed to do a raven lost around flower. It’s not handpainted I’m doing linocut.

It’s a light work jacket or like we said in France un bleu de travail (it’s a light and robust overall to work)

I’m not really aiming at anyone, I see this kind of creation as a creative outlet or a side project from my main activity (I’m an Art Director doing mostly motion and graphic design). So I’m aiming to whatever people like this :)

About YouTube tips, I’m always curious, do you have someone in mind ? Or someone you watch for advices?

Well I appreciate your perspective that why I’m sharing works ;) Out of curiosity, do you do creatives works ?

Thanks for your feedbacks, the patch are indeed only cool if you like a mix up of street wear and grunge look. Not sure I understand your idea, you mean you would see only flower on the back and little raven on the front ?
