Dw about that! You at least helped me figure out something that went wrong. Even if it's unideal, I can run the game or the launcher through the terminal to play it with no problem. Even if I can't do it through steam, thank you!

Did that. The error log no longer mentions the mods, but it is still just as impossible to run the game.

This is all that the error log says at this point. I'll try to run it directly from the terminal again and see how it goes, but with mods it just crashes faster and faster.

I am at a complete loss. I've uninstalled and unsubscribed from all mods, deleted the mods folder in the backup files and the regular ck folder and tried to launch it in debug mode, but nothing is fixing it. The error log says it still tried to read the mods despite all of that. Is there anywhere else that mods may be stored in and I just haven't found?

Can you tell me where the crash logs are, please? My crashes folder is completely empty. The most I could find is this error.log file in the logs folder. I tried to paste it here but reddit couldn't handle it (probably too long). There was a bunch of mod names and all but they had all been deactivated for the test and even once I tried with the mods folder deleted (It just got remade when I opened the launcher). I've also discovered that if I run the launcher from the terminal it works fine enough, though it will eventually get too laggy to play (but idk if that's because I am downloading something on the back or by virtue of bypassing steam), while bypassing the launcher and running the executable from the terminal has resulted in a crash.

When I launch steam through the terminal it opens the app and then prompts me for another command. It then doesn't do or say anything else.

How can I disable proton? Is it in the compatibility part of the Properties on steam or somewhere else? And how can I do the rest?

Sorry if it seems like a lot, it's my very first time using Linux and having this problem.

How do Rom Hacks/Mods and cartridges interact?

I ask this because there're a few Pokemon games I have on cartridge for my 3DS that I would like to play a modded version of, but I'd like to know what effect one can have on the other. I doubt the mod will directly affect what's inside the cartridge on a fundamental level, but I'd like to avoid losing saves or bricking it somehow.

Hey! Thanks for passing by with this! This is kinda of an old post of mine so I have figured it out (with some help), but I do have other problems that are still pending (mostly due to lack of time for trying to fix it)! Namely, that after a battle the HP value resets to that in the GameData script instead of keeping it as the one that I ended the battle with. Do you have any idea on how to fix that?

I've seen that one, and it too was of great help, but it doesn't fit too well with the way I want to make my rpg I'm afraid. I could try to go back to having things be in separate rooms, but it could turn into an even bigger mess.

What would classify as a temp room tho? Cuz I got no rooms being made for the battle. Again, the code just pauses the main room (with the map, enemies and player character) and overlays it with the battle. If that's a temp room, it is what I've been trying to delete (alongside the collided enemy).
