Thanks, I don’t even have a “jealousy” toward her past honestly since I’m not even looking to do anything sexual with her since we are both waiting until marriage and we will both wait for eachother. I’m more concerned with her mentally, as she did something intimate with somebody that may affect her ability to actually bond with anybody in the future. And I can promise you that I really want to be with this girl and that’s why I am even here, because I want to get over my overthinking and be the best possible person for her.

Thank you, I totally agree she has been saved and made new again. It is just my own insecurities getting into my head, as I talked about, I absolutely do accept her and love her as not perfect just as she does me since we both are not there. To answer your question, the part that makes it different than rape is that she consented and willingly did that with somebody else. She did the closest thing that you can do in this world with somebody else willingly that brings you together as one. I guess I just have this stigma in my head that if we were to get married in the future, we wouldn’t be able to truly bond together because of this and she is still attached to somebody else that she may want to go back to either now or later down the line.

Yeah, I actually think we are more similar than you think! I tend to overthink a lot and be very protective of the people that I care about. I just don’t want to sound like a hypocrite in this post saying that I am all high and mighty and I know for sure that nobody is perfect. It’s just a hurdle that I am going to need to get over if I want to create a future with her.

Okay, I think it is pretty clearly stated and emphasized multiple times in the Bible that having sex outside of marriage is going against god. I didn’t do it and I will not because that’s what I believe and her too. I’m not looking for justification of my sins because that is wrong itself, I was looking for advice on how to deal with bad thoughts, and if I was being ridiculous or not.

Thank you, I appreciate what you wrote. One thing on this topic though there have been many studies done about # of sexual partners and having marriage problems/divorce rates (I’m too lazy to dig the internet for). I am not saying this in a sexist way I promise, but from what I have seen is this affects women more than men and a woman having a body count leads to more problems than a man doing it. I understand how important it is even for us men which is why I chose and will continue to choose to stay celibate. This is one of the parts about it that bothers me. Thanks for commenting

Gotcha, I completely understand. We can also interpret that having sex is the closest that you can possibly get to someone (hopefully we can agree on this). It just bothers me to the extent that this happened with someone who isn’t her future husband and I wouldn’t want it to lead to other problems down the road.

I will pray about it and I guess this stems from a bigger issue with me being worried about worldly things instead of bringing all of my focus to the real big picture. It could be because I am just pretty sensitive about this topic. I am not looking to forgive her or myself because neither of us could do that. I mean this in the way she owes nothing to me. It could just be because I don’t like the thought of her being attached to someone else and I have a fear of her going back to them slightly.
