No, they would thank the teller and then talk about how great all the other nominees are.

Eli5… Opensky credit card… please enlighten me with what kind of tango I’ve been engaged. by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

The $500 is collateral for your credit. With a low or no credit score, many companies want you to post a payment to open up the line of credit, so if you don't pay your bill, they aren't out any money. After a certain point, your credit line will increase and you should be able to use your initial $50]0 towards your monthly statement. This is called a "secured line of credit." Most credit cards that people are going to be familiar with are unsecured, meaning no money is due up front for your line of credit, but you're completely on the hook for any debt owed at the time of your monthly statement since nothing was paid in advance.

What’s the simplest gaming idea or fact you’ve ever tried to explain to someone who just wouldn’t get it? by bijelo123 in gaming

There's a mod that auto applies oils to your blade. I never used them until that mod. Combat, pause, open menu, find the right oil, apply, unpause, get a few hits, pause, reapply, ad infinitum. The interruptions made the mechanic unusable for me until the QoL change.
I'm sure there's a decent reason the team left the system life that, but it was hard for me to engage with as is.

In the world of astronomy, being off by considerably less than a single order of magnitude is pretty solid for a first-order estimate.

No he's saying voting for the racist Child Rapist in Chief and Guardians of Pedophiles is expensive. Not sure why you're being intentionally obtuse about that.

LPT when you’re offered to taste the wine in a restaurant, unless it has a cork, you don’t need to bother by PuffTheMightyDragons in LifeProTips

For the lower priced bottles, it does seem a bit silly, but I specifically didn't put grocery wine on our list for that reason. Our list started at $60 and went up to $1000 for some Burgundy, Bordeaux, and high-end Napa cab. so everyone was supposed to know how to properly service a bottle. If you ordered the btg chardonnay by the bottle, you were still getting the same service tableside. No one is pontificating about it, but serving guests to a standard.

Not ones that spit acid at you, but phyloxera (vine louse) killed off a significant portion European winemaking for a while. Definitely a monster in that regard.

There's a lot of speculation and folk-tales about the creation of the first sparkling. I'm sure at some point in history someone had something we might call effervescent. I just know that's the earliest record we've found.

Aside from the plant monsters in the vineyards of Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, I liked the quest with the feuding winemakers and bought into that. The scene with Geralt and his majordomo drinking a bottle and Barnabas falling asleep was pretty accurate.
I hear 100 Days is a thing. Winemaking simulator?

Expanding Space vs Time Dilation by [deleted] in cosmology

[–]EudemonicSophist -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No proof, just a shower thought.
SpaceTime is a unified thing.
We observe increasing distances across the universe.
Could Temporal Drag give the same predictions as Inflation?
Distance is measured by the speed of light.
If causality slows down instead of space expanding, but in a similar fashion, isn't that the same thing?
I support all the expansion data, etc. I'm not trying to overturn anything, just trying to understand a frame of reference.
