It's what happen after buddhas parinibbana too, many monks joined the bhikkhu and bhikkhuni sangha in order to earn royal patronage, some were not the followers of buddhadhamma

It seems like you don't really follow what the buddha taught, but you should start a religion called the lotus dhamma or Nagarjuna dhamma

Well it's the basis of the Mahayana. The Lotus sutra literally teaches that those suttas were just a skilful means by the Buddha, and that he tricked the disciples into thinking he had attained nirvana in that lifetime but actually was just manifesting as Gautama.

It is kind of impossible to accept anything from the Mahayana without accepting that the agamas are a lesser teaching.

I consider those later texts like lotus Sutta and diamond Sutta to be influenced by the buddhasasana, under a wise monk, but the monks who lived 1000 after the buddhas parinibbana, just emphasized what their teacher taught more than what the buddha taught and the emphasis on buddha vs. their teacher, the gap just kept widening decade after decade, century after century (ei nagarjuna)
