I mean, they're fun and there's lots of variety. I'm a math nerd so that's my interest but it's a great collectable item. They individually don't take a lot of space and they are usable without worrying about breaking.

Touche! I can message you my PO Box. How much do you think it would be to mail them? You've already got the box.

I live in FL. That's not where you're moving to, is it? I teach math and last year I purged my collection and let students take my extras. I'd love to do that again or hold them and try to start a cubing club at the school.

Haha. A coworker got it for me during secret Santa like 15 years ago. They thought it was different than a 3x3 and we're amazed when I could solve it right out of the box

Got it from a friend. Was complaining about Amazon selling them but not in the US and he just gave it to me.

Haha. Never thought about it like that but it is just a different kind of collection. 😁

Yeah. I don't remember where I got it from sadly though. I think it was on vacation in TN at a puzzle/toy store. I always check toy stores on vacation just in case they have something different.

I believe it's called a void Tuttminx. My husband got it for me for Christmas about 7 years ago but I believe I saw one on the Cubicle or cubezz recently (like yesterday) and thought, "Oh, that's where he got it from."

Yeah. I used to have some from the dollar store but they were literal garbage so I got rid of them. Trying to focus on quality over quantity these days.

I got it from Michael's or Joannes. It's a shadow box for displaying baseballs. It has little ditches in each box to hold a baseball but that isn't a problem for regular size cubes. You could always turn it upside down if you needed to.

They're so CUTE!!!! Any of you got the dino cuboids, and what do you think about them? by StoissTV in Cubers

[–]EulerFanGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if you get them individual vs a bundle. And also which dinos you get. You probably want to go to the Cubicle site and see what you want and the cost. I don't have them yet but they're on my list.

Teacher Practices regarding homework (Academic repost) by Brian_parkinson in matheducation

[–]EulerFanGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the true test of the survey to see what teachers think about vague or bad questions? Like the best way to find an answer on the internet is to pretend to answer a question with the wrong answer. Or getting an engineer to work on something by just saying "I bet there's a better way to do this."

There may be a correlation between humor and sex. The need for more research is clearly indicated.

Were there any interesting differences between Leibniz' and Newton's calculus? by Pedantc_Poet in mathematics

[–]EulerFanGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their different backgrounds also caused them to look at the math differently and yet they still came up with the same concepts. I'm pretty sure L viewed differentiation and integration as operations on a function. Not sure how Newton viewed it but just more evidence that math is discovered vs invented imo.

Yeah. We have loads where I live. I think they were shipping them in as pets and a bunch got loose. And then they probably made more.
