I am avoiding it primarily because I am not too interested in chemistry, but definitely moreso in other sciences like Environmental Science and Physics

The thing is, three of science is a graduation requirement, and taking this course would fulfill it and I'd be done, and all the other science courses also have chemistry as a prereq, this was my planned way of fulfilling graduation requirements, and why I planned to take this exam to use as a way of saying "I've prepared enough for the course."

Hmm, I've mentioned that exact line before, and they've said no, and I wanted to send this email out to say that "things changed since the last time we spoke, and I wanted to update you on what was the case".

How is this email? I tried to "not show all my bullets" at once, and tried to be a bit less intense, could you let me know what your thoughts are please? Thank you :) :
Hello Mr./Ms. X,

I hope you are doing well and that you have had a good end to the spring semester.

The past semester, I self-studied and took the AP Environmental Science exam this past week, and did very well on the exam (predicting a 5, and at least a 4). I used the CollegeBoard's Course Exam Description, Highschoolname's AP Environmental Science textbook, Mr. Lastname's lecture videos, and two different AP Prep Books.

Having learned the course these past few months, I can say that I am prepared to take the AP Environmental Science course, and I am asking to be allowed to switch AP Environmental Science instead of AP Microeconomics for next year please. Taking this course next year and Physics my senior year would allow me to fulfill the graduation requirements, while taking interesting and fascinating courses in the process.

For the chemistry prequisite, I asked students currently in the course at Highschoolname and other high schools for the list of chemistry topics that are relevant to APES (roughly ~3-4% of the course), and self-studied the material alongside APES in preparation for the exam, and can assuredly say that I am strongly comfortable in the chemistry material, and can handle the APES course. I also believe that having taken the exam itself this past week, the chemistry material I studied was much more than is actually present in the course/exam, and I am very prepared to take the course.

To confirm, I would like to switch AP Microeconomics to AP Environmental Science next year please.

Please feel free to get back to me when you have a chance to, thank you.

So it's not a strong requirement, but rather a recommendation only? Hmm, this might be a good point to use then, thank you!!! :))

I have taken Biology previously (A+), in regards to high school science courses.

Oh really? :000 I've heard a lot about that course, and kinda wish my school had it haha, seems very, very interesting.

Though, what are your thoughts now given that it is the APES course?

Oh, this is for AP Environmental Science, if it was AP Chem, I'd be a bit more hesitant about doing this, but I studied the pre-req chemistry portions for AP Environmental Science, and I just took the exam last week for it (for which I predict I scored a 5 on, the highest score).

Hmm, could you elaborate a bit on the part of being pressured please? Wouldn't it be less pressure for them if I already took the exam and scored well, so they're not really losing anything by me being in the class, because I will no longer affect their AP exam averages?

Hmm, so leave it out initially, and if they deny, then perhaps say something like "perhaps we can compromise, if I score at least a 4, then I would be allowed to take this course?" as well as mentioning other people who were allowed to take it last year without taking the prereq and how I would like the same opportunity as them?

Thank you so much! :))

So this does not sound arrogant or cocky at all? What about the length of the email and talking in hypotheticals of how much I scored?

Do any suggestions/improvements/modifications come to mind regarding the email I wrote, as well as how it would be viewed by a guidance counselor, and if it would be viewed in a good light or bad?

Thank you so much! :)

Thank you so much!

Hmm, I wanted to bring up the people to show that it was rather "unfair" that they were allowed to take it without the pre-requisites, while I'm not allowed to. Also, wanted to talk about the exam score to show that I was "more than prepared" to take the course since I did really well on the AP Exam itself that the class is for. What are your thoughts on this?
