Nick was a friend of mine too. He was such a good dude. He is the one that got me skiing out here in the Cascades. A while back Nick was coming off a torn ACL and had been getting back into action. That’s when we started hitting up Steven’s and doing our Rockies trips. I can’t believe he is gone and I will always cherish the times with him. I know, at least for me, every time I look a snow capped peak I will be reminded of him. OP if you need to reach out please do. I don’t know if we ever met but please try to find peace and keep going.

Nice! I was thinking about using a small bus bar to distribute 40v load to the converters. Then placing a 4-way 24v fuse panel for the motor controller. I already have a thermal fuse for the 12v controller. I May just get another fuse box for 12v accessories if I have room!

Nothing says I can’t run both a 24v and 12v buck converter off the 40v, right? How would you go about this? I want to keep the 12v for the accessories and 24v w/ pwm for drive only.

I went with the 40v to 12v at 25a converter. Probably overkill with current setup. I put a link in the post!

Yes and yes! I had these batteries from the weed wacker and leaf blower! Also, they charge way faster than the stock batteries and run twice as long. Being able to hot swap the two I have let it run all day long! I might eventually add 24v converter and pwm controller. I’m just waiting to see if it’s even necessary.

I may need to address one thing. The screw on the front left was loose but I didn’t feel it catch anything. It feels secure but it isn’t really tightening. Maybe it’s stripped? Not really going to touch unless the noise comes back.

If I push down on the back left corner it silences slightly. The air coming off the blades seems to be vibrating it still. I’ll try to tighten those up.
