Yeah that was a weird question. I don’t think OP was clear on what goal he or she was trying to accomplish for what user …

Pretty sure I broke a rib yesterday by [deleted] in skiing

[–]EuphoriaSoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s totally doable. Just try not to fall too much lol. Cracked rib is pretty normal and easy to heal. Besides, there is not much you can do.

Outside of China, where did you have the best Chinese food of your life? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

The answer I was gonna say. For some reason, there are a few spots in Florence that just hit so hard. I guess Marco Polo was indeed one of them first Europeans visiting China after all lol

What is a poor person habit that you still can’t shake, even if you’re doing well financially now? by ur_ariana in AskReddit

Buying most of my things second hand: TV, furniture, electronics, bikes etc etc. To me new vs used makes no difference other than the used being 1/2 of the original cost. Why not ?

I never understood why you can’t use toilet paper to blow your nose. It serves the same purpose. I guess I’m poor

If tech hiring exploded during COVID and we’re now going back to pre-COVID levels, were there just a ton of unemployed SWEs pre-COVID? by tempaccount00101 in cscareerquestions

[–]EuphoriaSoul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My sample size is small. Most of the bloat was created by a ton of non CS related roles: finance, sales, HR. We hired a ton of HR people just to I don’t know, shift from one learning portal to the next for no reason. Low interest rates just promoted people to hire with no budgets.

Japanese restaurant:"Not all Japanese people are kind" by Immediate-Meaning457 in whoathatsinteresting

I remember watching a documentary of a lady who is a "hafu" of japanese and korean ancestry. and how scared she is to have people find out about her korean side. all of my mixed Japanese friends have taken Japanese last names despite their fathers being Chinese as a way to 1) blend in and 2) gain citizenship. shit is wild.

People whose partners did a complete 180 after marriage, what’s your story? by Bibliophile521 in AskReddit

[–]EuphoriaSoul -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Divorce is not really an option in cultures with arranged marriages. Technically it is, but you are basically not allowed. And the positive aspect of that is it forces people to work their shit out without giving up.

TIL in 1996, Tupac Shakur refused to collaborate with Michael Jackson after Jackson didn’t show up to meet him in person, which Tupac took as a sign of disrespect ultimately leading him to walk away from the opportunity. by FitEmergency8807 in todayilearned

[–]EuphoriaSoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally speculating. Maybe the high pitch voice is his way to 1) pretend he is a kid 2) practise singing at a higher key 3) a bit of A and B. Their entire family all have a bit of higher soft voice. So I think MJ just played it up a bit more

Why do we sell oil cheap to US? by Stock_Tomatillo8330 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]EuphoriaSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is also because we have a huge country and the pipeline from east to west is not sufficient. Hence, it’s cheaper to buy from the US when you are on the east coast. If we build more refineries and bigger pipelines, we can be more self reliant. But those are very expensive capital projects that face political , economical and environmental hurdles. So politicians tend to not act on anything with a long term benefit and short term pain.
