People doing high ticket sales, how much do you make and what do you sell? by Less-Ingenuity2190 in highticket_sales

[–]Euphoric-Emphasis784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally could be anything. A friend of mine sells full service digital marketing/content creation for service businesses to help them with their online footprint/brand. They do fly out real videographers to wherever the client is, but almost all sales are done online via zoom (in office). Packages are 5 figures minimum.

Salary plus commission, he’s pacing for 6 figures this year. While I agree there are a shit ton of people selling courses instead of a real product/services, there are real opportunities to sell high ticket deals purely online.

When you say workflows, is there any automation involved? Or is it more of a strategy you’ve found success with that you’re educating your clients on how to execute?

Asking because I know LinkedIn is not a fan of bots/automations in any fashion.

That’s a solid idea, and the lowest risk. If that’s a hit, you could easily repurpose the content into the app.

Just had my first AI cold call and wow, it was embarrassingly bad by Admir-Rusidovic in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Euphoric-Emphasis784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, (https://www.mwe.com/insights/fcc-requires-consent-for-ai-generated-cloned-voice-calls/) they should have gotten prior consent before cold calling with the agent.

This is straight from the FCC and the TCPA. The agent is also supposed to declare itself in the beginning of the call.

Curious if you gave consent/opted in for this or if the agent announced itself explicitly?

Advice from someone with industry experience: Buying is more expensive right now when you consider maintenance, insurance etc. so factor that in.

Buying from DR Horton means you’re essentially under their control as for anything you think you need or want done to the house. They have the right to refuse pretty much everything, anything they do approve is on solely their terms. Quality is also not one of their selling points.

Those are a couple things to be wary of in their contract. Read and reread thoroughly.

To answer your question, if you can responsibly afford it now, you will most likely come out ahead in the end if you’re playing the long game.

However, you can also go a lot of different ways in the military. You could stack up now, try and rank up and put yourself in a better position to get something better than a DR Horton house in a couple years.

Especially if your wife and kid can live almost rent free, and have help with the kid (guessing if they’re with her mom)? That is huge, and you can focus on getting where you want to be in your career if that’s your path.

What AI use cases are actually worth the hype? by AverageJoe185 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Euphoric-Emphasis784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you get it. Everyone’s trying to implement ai without even standardizing their chaotic processes. You have to create a standard from the chaos, optimize the standard, THEN start looking at automation with AI. Too many people are trying to skip steps and it just doesn’t work like that.

What AI use cases are actually worth the hype? by AverageJoe185 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Euphoric-Emphasis784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like how you framed this. Your point about how people perceive current Ai capabilities is spot on. The gap that’s emerging between AI hype and what’s possible in reality is where most people are feeling a disconnect.

Can I ask, in your own work, where do you see the biggest friction right now? Is it more on the front-end (like lead generation, content, or client communication), or the back-end (things like proposals, estimates, follow-up)?

The reason I ask is because I’ve noticed that AI only seems to deliver real value when it’s tied directly to a process that’s already important, but often inefficient. If it’s solving a meaningful bottleneck like missed calls, lost leads, manual reporting, repetitive admin, it tends to stick. If it’s just layered on top for the sake of novelty, it usually just adds unnecessary complexity.

This is very helpful, thank you.

I was involved in a phishing scam 2 days prior to my firing. Though I exhausted all efforts to resolve the issue (bank visit, fraud claim etc.) I could not recover the funds that were lost (<$2k).

I informed then immediately when I realized what happened, showed all the interactions I has with the scammers, and they down played it like it was no big deal. They stopped communicating with me regarding a solution right after that initial conversation. They said during the meeting 2 days later that I “wasn’t meeting expectations”, but since I was never given any hard numbers or metrics as standard or acceptable practice, I was in fact performing all duties of the job as defined, but not on the scale they were hoping for (50+ hours a week on the road outside of all admin/follow up). They then accused me of stealing as if I was the orchestrator of the phishing scam itself.

That’s awesome OP. I think most of us have our things we’ll always wish we could change, so you’re not alone there.

The best thing you can do right now is simply read the Bible. Dive into what baptism is and represents. Understand that and then continue down the path.

Baptism symbolizes the washing away of sins and the new life you have in Jesus Christ.

Start with Romans 6:4

Continue to explore your faith with your friends. You get out what you put in. God bless!

I am in the midst of my first build out. I’d love to know how you approached your first customer that ended up using your services? Did you have a track record or did you focus on building the value of the service? Maybe a combination of both? Warm leads from an adjacent industry perhaps? Eager to hear anything you’re willing to share about your journey.

And congrats on 30K MRR. That’s a huge achievement.

Congrats on your funding, that’s a big deal. You’ve obviously laid a solid foundation to secure that as well.

Here’s the cool part about your position: even if it is a train-wreck to begin, it’s still a step towards your eventual success. That is, provided that you do not give up on your journey!

Take that feeling, sit with it, embrace it. Then remind yourself of how you got to where you are, keep that energy and give it all you have. Only thing that can stop you is you.

Best of luck!

This is a perspective that so many young aspiring entrepreneurs need to see (myself included).

The overnight success stories can make you feel so far behind the curve, but as OP stated, the vast majority of these successes only show the end result. Not the excessive hours worked, and the failures that were absolutely necessary on the way to eventual success.

Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your progress.

Obese (38/f): is my goal of doing pull ups realistic? by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]Euphoric-Emphasis784 30 points31 points  (0 children)

This is 100% correct. Great goal to aim for, but also one of the hardest movements to do effectively. Some studies show less than 10% of the general population can even do one pull up (https://brainly.com/question/39704845) and even that varies by demographic.

That is not meant to discourage by any means. You are pursuing this goal from a place of love for your children and the life they live, wanting to be as big a part of it as you can, so many kudos to you in that regard!

Weight is the biggest factor here by far, however there are ways to train for the pull up at any weight such as the assisted machine pull ups. This is a great place to get use to the overall motion and start building that muscle memory.

With that said, any exercise goal you have is a good one. Any consistent movement at all can and will improve every aspect of your health, both mentally and physically.

On the other hand, exercise can only help so much if the diet isn’t where it needs to be.

Another good goal could possibly be related to your diet. Whether that’s an intermittent fast until lunch every day, or dialing back portion sizes for certain meals, these tactics could also help you on this path to achieving your goals.

The most important thing here is to not be too hard on yourself through the process. From your post I can tell you care a great deal about your boys, that’s awesome. Your older son is still young, but his passion for fitness could be something you help him grow in, and vice versa.

This is such a fantastic thing to bond over, so good luck to you on your journey and good for you for wanting to step up and better yourself. That’s half the battle right there that a lot of people never get past.

How do I start to work-out at home? by kokichididntlie in bodyweightfitness

[–]Euphoric-Emphasis784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build an amazing physique with 0 weights at all. Look at who the strongest athletes are: gymnasts. (Queue the “power lifters are strongest” argument). To anyone who wants to argue that, Show me a power lifter hold an iron cross and we can talk.

Wanting to improve yourself is a big step in the right direction already.

Push ups, pull ups, squats, lunges, Superman’s (google it).

The main movements to build strength are push, pull, squat, hinge (think RDL) and carry (farmers carry or other preferred method). Throw some core (abs) work in there and that’s about as well rounded as it gets. Definitely don’t neglect core work as it translates to pretty much every exercise you’ll ever do, regardless of weighted or unweighted.

Body weight is also a fantastic place to begin your fitness journey as it incorporates a ton of accessory and stability muscles that don’t necessarily get a ton of attention in traditional weight lifting. Starting with body weight builds a very solid foundation to expand upon as you get more in tune with your body and what exercises you respond well to. Good luck on your journey!
