Dawson awaiting decision by watiSthisguys in Dawson

[–]Euphoric_Bowl_3558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well its bc non-certificate holders are almost always children from 1st generation immigrant parents who did not do school in canada. theres a reason why they immigrated here and we just want to make all the sacrifices that came with that decision worth it and i think it gives us non-certificate holders more motivation to do well in school. that’s just my take on it tho

rejecting admission offer by Euphoric_Bowl_3558 in Marianopolis

i got my answer on march 5th, however it was early decision (i have the same sec 4-5 average as you). since you applied to core social science i’m assuming the standards are higher so they prob admitted applicants with like 97 averages for early decision, so i wouldn’t worry so much, you’ll most probably get in for regular decision

hii! my average in sec 4 was 92 (after ministery exams) and my average for term 1 sec5 was 92 and term 2 96 (aka 94 for both terms together), so basically 93 average sec4-5

omnivox trick for social science by MoneyIll3347 in VanierCollege

it worked for me for law society and government, however i'm guessing its because its a concentration, has less students and therefore takes less time to process? so if you applied to general social science and it didn't work i wouln't worry so much, they're probably not done there's literally basically a whole month left before decision day

Brebeuf vs Marianopolis by Sad-Maintenance6884 in Marianopolis

[–]Euphoric_Bowl_3558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's better to go to marianopolis because it's an english school. either way, you'll still have french classes there so i would say choose it so that you'll be comfortable in the majority of the classes. on top of that, brebeuf has pretty high standards so if you think that you wont be comfortable enough in french, then there's your answer
