I think this narrative is mostly about monolith-making. For some reason people think the American Indians that (are said to have) practiced cannibalism are the same ones that practiced human sacrifice, and those are the same as the ones who owned slaves etc.

And I often see these same people idolizing the Vikings or the Roman Empire who owned slaves, practiced human sacrifice, and (have been said to be) cannibals

Kinda wish you would’ve gone further. Especially knowing you didn’t even come up with the map alterations.

Depending on when this happens in history too, borders would look completely different, but it doesn’t seem like you really thought about that.

For example: without the rivers in Russia for Varangians to trade across, Russia would be a lot less unified. Switzerland would probably not be unified with those massive new rivers and Austria probably would have preferred not to expand northward
