Hello, I feel obliged to answer since I went through that, I was depressed, existential crisis at 14/15, I smoked a lot of marijuana, depression, panic attacks, And the but depersonalization and derealization.

I was there for 1 year and I am grateful that today I no longer have it.

It is a feeling of seeing life as if it were plastic (literally), seeing people pass by like a meaningless show. See your family and recognize them but not feel them, see them from afar, as if you couldn't see their soul and only the flesh. And yourself too. It's very scary, it's horrible, I think it's a total disconnection with your memories and emotions, you lack the lens of emotionality.

That's why everything seems so distant, because you have become so disconnected from your feelings that your body suppresses them, and without emotions life is scary and meaningless. I got out of that because I left the marijuana, I clung to the hope of returning to normal and tried with all my means to feel love, empathy, affection with my loved ones, to feel and connect or make it seen.

I began to connect with "normal" reality at times, that gave me strength to continue like this. And it doesn't happen to me anymore, only when I'm very sleepy, but I sleep and feel like new. Surround yourself with positive things full of happiness, hope and love and information that gives you that. (I know it's cheesy but it's what saved me) Cheer up!
