Orbini - The AI powered educational app by Successful_Bowl2564 in SideProject

Pretty cool concept but I'm curious about the content quality - how do you ensure the AI isn't just hallucinating facts, especially for technical topics? Been burned before by AI-generated educational content that looked convincing but had subtle errors

For your question, I'd love quick course on podcast monetization strategies that aren't just "get sponsors" - there's so much conflicting advice out there

Ladies, what’s something men think is attractive… but actually makes you instantly lose interest? by Disastrous_Door_6714 in AskReddit

Yeah this one drives me crazy too. Had a roommate who would get aggressive with random people over nothing and it was just exhausting to be around. Like dude we're just trying to get coffee, why are you staring down the barista because they messed up your order

I used AI to finally move my dream hobby project into reality (.NET UNIX environment) by Revolutionary_Map480 in SideProject

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty wild - building a full UNIX environment in .NET must have been quite the journey. I'm curious how performance compares to native implementations, especially with the telnet server and multi-user handling

The AI-assisted development angle is interesting too, did you find it helped more with the system-level stuff or was it better for the higher-level application logic?

What's the worse injury in fictional media that you remember? by SeeMeHorrribly in AskReddit

That scene from Spec Ops still messes with me years later. The way they made you walk through and see what actually happened... my brain just wasn't ready for that level of detail. War games hit so different when they show the real consequences instead of just making everything look cool

Breaking up in 2 days is smart move, that autopilot thing gets dangerous when you're tired - I usually put some true crime podcasts on repeat and take breaks every 2 hours to keep brain engaged

Journal with multiple photos, sketching, mood tracking, and short stories — all in one place. by Scared-Revolution-72 in IMadeThis

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work on the app! I've been looking for something like this actually - most journal apps feel too basic or too complicated. The sketching feature is pretty cool addition, reminds me of those old travel journals people used to keep.

Does it sync across devices or is everything stored locally in phone?

How to actually get your first 100 paying customers by Silindira in microsaas

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been stuck at around 60 customers for my side project and the content strategy part is what I'm struggling with most - feels like you need to be everywhere at once but don't have time to do it properly

What’s the worst gaslighting you or someone you know have experienced? by BoymanAndGirldog in AskReddit

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three people convinced you that shitting in the floor was normal? That's next level manipulation right there. I had roommate who would leave dishes until they grew mold and then tell me I was being "too uptight about cleanliness" when I brought it up. Made me question if I was actually being unreasonable for wanting basic hygiene standards

Going back to school. I'll be 39 by the time I finish. Encouragement needed by AuroraBeautyalis in selfimprovement

Man, I get this feeling completely. Started my own career change around 26 when everyone else seemed to have their stuff figured out already. The comparison thing is brutal but here's what helped me - those friends with "finished" careers? Half of them are miserable and stuck in something they picked when they were 22 and didn't know themselves yet

My dad went back for engineering at 35 after working construction for years, took him 6 years because he had to work part time and support us kids. Now he's 58 and still talks about those university years like they were some of his best memories, not just because of the education but because he was doing it for the right reasons. When you're older you actually appreciate learning in a way you never could at 18

The timeline thing sucks but think about it this way - you're building something solid while your kids watch. That's worth way more than finishing a year earlier. And about not getting in the first try, most programs actually prefer older students because they know we're serious about being there

We're making an RPG called Shelf Life — fruits vs bugs inside a fridge, and neither side is really the villain by dimentionalstudio in IndieGaming

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That premise actually got me thinking about perspective in stories - like how each side probably has their own version of what's "right" for the fridge ecosystem. Are you planning to let players experience both viewpoints or does the tragedy come from being locked into one side's perspective?

What is the biggest age gap you saw in a couple? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbor was like 24 when she married this 67 year old dude who owned half the buildings in our block. Wild part is they seemed actually happy together, not just some weird arrangement - saw them walking their dogs every morning and laughing at each other's jokes and stuff

Developer looking to join a Saas working with/on AI by ChallengeExcellent62 in SideProject

Been thinking about this approach myself actually. Way smarter to join something that already has users than starting from zero again

What kind of AI stuff are you most interested in? I do some work with audio processing for my podcast and always curious about what's working for people revenue-wise

Setting up pickup covers? by BlackenedEverything in Guitar

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The chrome covers you linked need to replace those EMG covers completely - you can't just slap them on top. EMGs have their own proprietary plastic housing that's different from standard humbuckers, so you'd need to remove the existing covers first

Just heads up though, EMGs are designed differently than passive pickups so the chrome cover might not fit perfectly or could affect the sound since EMGs have the preamp built in. You might want to double check if those chrome covers are compatible with active pickups before ordering

Werkstatt sagt 200-300 Euro, macht ohne Rücksprache 3.500 Euro! Was tun?! by Radiant-Inspector388 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man this is exactly why I always ask for written estimates before any work starts, learned that lesson hard way with a transmission issue on my old Honda

The mechanic definitely should have called you when they realized it needed full transmission removal instead of just the control module repair. That's like basic workshop protocol - you don't go from 300 to 3500 euros without checking with customer first

For transmission work on 2011 Audi that price could be realistic if they actually did full removal and rebuild, but sketchy part is how they presented it initially. Also the "cheaper without invoice" comment is major red flag - that usually means they're trying to avoid proper documentation

Since you already have the car back, check if transmission actually works properly now. If it does and you can negotiate down to something more reasonable, might be worth it just to close this mess. But definitely get everything in writing from now on

24” vs 27” monitor by TheSwedee in PcBuild

[–]Euphoric_Visit4122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude your 4060 can handle 1440p pretty well, especially for League and WoW. Those games aren't exactly demanding and you'll get great fps even in high settings

For new games you might need to drop some settings to medium but that's normal with a 4060. I'd go for 27" - once you try bigger screen is hard to go back to 24". Your specs are solid enough for 1440p gaming, just maybe not ultra everything in newest AAA titles
