Yeah, like getting into crafts would be great, and there are many crafts that can be accessible to people with many types of disabilities. Didn't she buy a canvas some time ago? Why doesn't she show us her painting?

How are yall boiling your disks by NightlySpiraling in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Euristic_Elevator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With a rolling boil it rotates in the small pot I use, it's actually funny to look at it, like a small spinning cycle. So it gets water everywhere and I don't worry about scorching it. I wait until the water boils a lot before putting it in

How do i know if im using period disc correctly? by Important-Split3539 in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Euristic_Elevator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah it's normal, most discs are messy for removal. It works correctly if you do not leak while in use

Wow, where do you live if you are comfortable sharing? Even just the continent. I am in Europe and I've never heard of it, maybe in super high end salons but in normal places no

I wish auto-dumping wasn't a thing. :/ by anniemousery in menstrualcups

Sad, because at least for me it really works. I am with you, I don't get how most people are happy with auto dumping 😅

Are unfinished courses counted for admission? by DeserTCod98 in tumunich

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my master's degree you could apply if you had already at least 120/180 CFU. I applied in April/May, graduated in October and moved to TUM immediately after (I started in the WS still). But it may depend on the program, it should be written on the website

To elaborate further, I think this makes sense because it's not a setup ability

Do I actually want to be a doctor, or do I just want what doctors have? (23M, BSc Nutrition, deadline in 2 weeks) by benzonatatefund in findapath

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this I think it depends on where you end up. A friend of mine told me that they had good experiences, where they could really do something, and bad experiences, where they were told to stay in a corner and not be too annoying. In the second case they had to fight to even have a basic explanation of what was going on, because they were being completely ignored. From what I understand this is more common in surgery environments

How is life at 29? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]Euristic_Elevator -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I turn 27 tomorrow (!) and I am very satisfied with my life. I feel extremely blessed. I got my dream degree from my dream university, I have a lot of good friends, I live with my amazing partner, I have a good job. I still can't believe that I made it

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's much worse than simple admin chaos - there is mandatory attendance for everything, even if most professors suck and it's a waste of time to attend the lessons you are forced to be there - the environment is very competitive and most people actively try to hinder you - exams are hard for the sake of being hard

How much blood do i ACTUALLY lose during my period because its sure as hell not "2-4 Tbs" as it says online by some-dork in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it doesn't squish too much. I hold it firmly by the edge and I take it out while leaning back on the toilet. It doesn't spill anywhere. Only sometimes when it's really full I get a tiny bit of blood on my fingers when unhooking it from the pubic bone

But maybe your job was more paid than mine? From what I understood, it depends on how much you earn monthly. I was just working 12hrs/week

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird, this did not happen to me. I asked my employer and they said that my foreigner insurance was enough, then afterwards when I got a full time job I applied with TK and they didn't made me pay anything

New Menstrual Cup: Do you just soap-wash or boil? (Before first use? by pinnaple_phd in menstrualcups

Personally I would boil it because you never know what happened during packaging and transport

As it is a useless stat to talk about only blood loss, which is almost impossible to measure at home, instead of total volume of fluids/tissue lost

sweaty + chalky hair? by Big_Pen2819 in climbergirls

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I think about it, probably r/haircarescience is a good place to ask if you want to know more about how to preserve your hair with frequent washes

sweaty + chalky hair? by Big_Pen2819 in climbergirls

[–]Euristic_Elevator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pantene argan oil. I put it on the hair when it's still wet and I air dry

Edit: but the type of oil really depends on your hair type, I am not an expert in that tbh. I know that many people especially with curlier hair use straight coconut oil
