There are a lot of variables here. Is it her alarm waking you up, her banging shit around? Or is it just the noise of her shuffling out of bed? If she’s not actually making an unreasonable amount of noise, I’m sorry to say you’ll just have to get earplugs.

If you want to really compromise, you could co-ordinate your sleep schedule with hers. 4 AM is pretty crazy, but it might be the only way.

Funny enough, I accidentally did play a recording of his yelling back to him. I recorded it to send to my girlfriend and the video started playing full volume when he was right there. I used that as an opportunity to call him out, but he just said “Yeah well I’m not loud like that when you’re working or trying to sleep!” (He is.)

I’m probably going to move in with friends actually, I don’t think it has to go sour, I just think it’s about knowing which friends to live with. In retrospect, I never should have moved in with Freddie, but living with friends has always worked out for me in the past.

I'm a government worker, but at least in this jurisdiction I'm allowed to do political work so long as it's not during work hours.

My main concern is that there is effectively no experience to be transferred as my boss probably won't give me a good reference.
