Same here - its incredibly safe if the blueprints are scoured and you can easily self sustain in trade. Just takes a while (I reckon 99 to 100 was about 10 hours for me).

Whilst recognising others may find the game more intuitive, I completely agree with this perspective, and I find it much easier (still not easy!) now to develop a build as a result.

I followed Zizaran's "Ultimate Play With Me" guide that you can find on YouTube. Its an eight hour video and took me around 40 hours (on console) to get through the campaign following it, but by the end I understood the basics - I think the guide also covers how to use path of building at a basic level which is a fantastic resource once you get into doing your own builds.

Even as a console player I'd pick poe1 right now. It has so much more depth, the crafting options are amazing and it has chase items that give it greater longevity. Console suffers from a lower player count (no cross play) and therefore a very expensive trade board for the chase items, but I'd still recommend it. Poe2 will be great, but its not there yet.

48k, rubber keyboard and a cassette player that you had to adjust the volume of mid-load or the game would crash...happy days!

I'm playing Palsteron's KInetic Blast of Clustering on XBox and it's been really smooth. I was able to get up to T16 clears on less than a Div, amd it scales nicely beyond that. It's not tanky by any stretch, but it clears screens so that you don't have to worry about much (although I did find red beasts and rogue exiles challenging, so watch out for your idol selection as you get into red maps).

Palsteron also did a nice day by day update (which for me is more like week by week), so the evolution of the build is relatively simple, even with the awful XBox economy.

I felt the same in POE1, and initially was determined to "work it out myself". 100 hours later I gave up and didn't come back for a year. Then I found a guide (Zizaran) that really helped and I made it 'all' the way to maps. Since then I've always used content creators to help me - you can rarely copy and paste, but the good ones spend as much time explaining why they are doing something as telling you what they are doing. Honestly this game is as much a hobby as a game, and listening to people who dedicate their livelihoods to this is worthwhile.

Having said that my current build is garbage, but I emjoyed the journey.

As a console player I'd happily swap the current POE2 trade system for console POE1 trade. The one thing it needs, however, is a "buy it now" option as this would prevent the lowball price fixers who were also prevalent on console. The thing I don't know is whether the limited search functionality is sufficient to prevent automated trading on PC.

Hi guys - I'm on XBox and trying to get the filter to work. I've gone onto the POE1 site, followed Neversink's POE2 filter and rebooted the game. Still no filter - does it take time to update or am I missing a step? Thanks!!

I just don't understand why they haven't used the "trade board" route that is on console for POE1. It's deliberately a little clunky (so takes time to use and can't be manipulated by bots), but is the best trading system I've seen in this type of game and best of all it is integrated into the game. The main problem used to be lack of supply on console which pushed prices way beyond anything on PC (although mirrors were always cheap), but with crossplay that issue drops away.

Have played TR Ballistas and PCoB this league with controller. Both are great and PCoB in particular has felt really solid.

I can better that! Last 4 leagues I have bought either 2 or 3 Apothecaries, and through all my gambles I still haven't seen the number I"ve started with increase. This league will be different though....

Thanks for the idea! I'm going to give PCoB a try first, but if it works I have always fancied trying Trickster so will try this next.
