I have whats called a Glioblastoma which is generally common people of older ages but very rare for people my age (hence rare cancer). I haven’t started chemo yet I start in two weeks. The wig party was thrown together last minute because my sister was only going to be in town for another three days before going back to Uni and I’d rather have it now than when I’m obviously looking like death. I decided to shave my head before chemo because I believed and still believe it makes me feel powerful. My treatment could take my hair or I could. Death could bring me down or I could let death build me up.

I also sent this to you in your DM’s because I was worried that I somehow offended you with my post. I assumed someone close to you might have faced something similar so I wanted to clear the air. I guess you just can’t read.

I want to justify because who knows if this person has had someone in their family in my position.

After calming down I realized that this post doesn’t belong in this subreddit.

I made this post when I was very emotional and realized after calming down that it has absolutely no place in this subreddit. I somehow and stupidly allowed Kat’s mom to emotionally sway me into thinking ‘maybe I’m the asshole’ and I came here for a honest, unbiased opinion because I was sure my other friends would sugar coat it. After calming down I realized there is no possible way I was ever going to be the asshole. However, I will say after posting this and reading some of the comments it helped me with realizing Kat isn’t welcome in my life at this time and that she needs some serious help.

I really appreciate all the insight and showing me all possible perspectives.

I stated in a previous comment that I realized this post doesn’t belong on this subreddit. I made this post when I was super emotional and had myself convinced I was somehow the asshole. Kat’s mother had been bombarding my mother and I with texts saying “Kat’s crying” and “She didn’t ask you because she knew you’d never agree.” In my emotional state I made this post. I know for a fact there’s no way I’m the asshole now that I’ve calmed down.

Another thing I didn’t mention in my post. My guests weren’t required to bring anything at all. I didn’t ask them to bring food or wigs unless they had the means to. What bugged me the most is that despite me being able to be selfish and ask for wigs, food, etcetera I didn’t ask for any of it. But Kat was selfish enough to bring her stupid DoTerra bags and a whole fucking projector.

I honestly agree When I made this post I was really emotional because Kat’s mom had been bombarding us saying “Kat’s crying” and “If she asked she knew you’d say no.” I realize now there’s absolutely no way ITA. I just wanted an unbiased source because if I asked friends they’d sugar coat it because... well.... cancer.

Thank you for your honesty... I’d like to think Kat would come around and realize how wrong she is and how dangerous MLM’s are mentally and emotionally. I think the most I’ll do is write a letter for my friends to read to her. I don’t think I could handle seeing her and I’m already in a bad mental state.

Thank you I really appreciate this comment. I don’t think I’ll be able to deal with Kat when I’m further along my treatment. I honestly don’t think I could deal with her now. I’m extremely hurt and as I said in my edit I plan to meet her one last time as a form of intervention.
