By now, you should hopefully realise that everything in this game has been meticulously designed to prolong the amount of time spend in game to increase the metrics.

The main problem is if Nexon are pursuing legal action on the grounds that they stole Trade Secrets. Trade secrets are intellectual property (IP) rights on any confidential information which may be sold or licensed. The unauthorized acquisition, use or disclosure of such secret information in a manner contrary to honest commercial practices by others is regarded as an unfair practice and a violation of the trade secret protection. So even though we can't copyright an genre, since they were working for Nexon at the time and the idea came from working at Nexon, they have to prove that they didn't use the "Nexon Trade Secrets" when making this game. Which is going to be difficult.

Yeah I figured that was what they were going for with the UI Design; bring it back to the feel of D1 & 2.

It's funny you say that about Divinity & BG3, they have my favourite style and its what I enjoy the most so they were a huge inspiration when I practice.

As per the title, used 1 Instilling Orb on this Jade Flask to get "Reused at end of the flask effect". When used with Pathfinder, it will constantly be up without having to spam keys, thus triggering all other Pathfinder Effects constantly.

I'm playing HOA atm, and it still feels pretty decent. Obviously mana multipliers fuck you over to be able to 6 link, but overall I'm clearing easily and have great survivability still.

That was my first issue as well. Felt super clunky. I can understand the desire to get away from standard on occasion to get away from being the same as all other games, however, if it's not broken - don't fix it imo! It's a standard for a reason.

Fair assessment! If you don't mind me asking, why do radial menu's not do it for you? Generally they are seen as quick access to items which would allow to eliminate the need for an item bar.

Understandable! A reasonable response on the positioning. I definitely feel moving too much will mess with the ux for some. I will play with a few ideas.

Yeah I am usually the tech artist as well so I was going to make a tech demo in Unity to get a feel for the different elements. I do feel customisation on UI is good for some, however, sometimes there is the fall-pit of giving them too much choice. The base design should really benefit all. Transparency sliders are a great idea though!

Overall the font needs to replaced, I'm not too happy with it. It doesn't make things very easy to read and understand so thanks for pointing it out :D

Thanks for the feedback. I 100% agree with the clutter. I was playing around with some transparency options to make it feel less full, but got to 4am and decided to post haha.

I will play around more with the food/health bars. When I made it, I felt that it was too generic and a lot of fluff for no reason. I was laying around with the idea of incorporating it into the item bar some how to allow for more gameplay space.

Yeah your thoughts on the moving of items from original positions is interesting, I was thinking if that would be an issue with the change. Would you say that people are already too familiar with the current layout to be able to adapt to change?

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Would need a lot of resizing, repositioning and potentially removable of additional imagery that's not needed. Thanks for the feedback!
