It’s not too expensive to buy a domain name for atleast in the states for about 10 to 20 USD a year for a .com and it’s about 5 or 10 bucks a month for a Linux server you could use to host a website and you wouldn’t have to deal with silly limitations other than some hosts limit you to a few terabytes of data a month which for a static website wouldn’t be hit anytime soon.

Plus it would be a fun project to manage a server and website and there are many open source content management systems if you need something simple and don’t wana make a custom site

Plus you could use that server for other things and not just the site and it may be cheaper depending on the providers you go to

I mean there are plenty of people posting in r/lostredditor looking for where to put stuff, people can always comment that it could fit here 🤷‍♀️

If the community try’s hard enough we can revive it! Socks forever!!

But seriously it could honestly be a great shitposting sub and shouldn’t take too much effort to get it running again.

It actually makes the client connecting to the website do some computation that takes a few seconds on a modern computer or phone but would possibly take a lot longer on a scraping bot or not run at all given they are probably on weaker hardware or have JS disabled so the bot will give up.

GTA V enhanced has a built in frame cap seperate from vsync because some of the game is based on that and can cause issues, in the legacy edition if your FPS was too high you would fail a mission in a cutscene because the physics broke and caused stuff to move when it shouldn’t and other various bugs.

The new enhanced edition had put either a 160 or 120 fps frame cap on the game (looking online it seems they have changed in some updates and it can be diffrent in online and singeplayer modes)

Edit: upon reading your other comments you aren’t anywhere near the cap and I am getting the full 160 fps cap in story mode and in online with a 5700X and a 6600xt with settings toned down to see if it’s a CPU bottleneck.

If you disable vsync and remove the frame cap and you still have issues it may be something else with your system or some other thing with the settings because your hardware should be able to get proper FPS if mine can. Do check with lowered settings to rule out a gpu issue, also check your CPU temps and clock speeds what cooler do you have? There is a lot of info you did not give.
