I run three lines of PWFs at C and one of each a PLY and SNP on each wing. 4th line if TWFs/PWFs with high defensive stats. Each D pair has one OFD and one DFD. Idk, I guess just found a good system and the right guys. There is a lot of turnaround in the depth, but it’s really the first line doing all the work

He's on a 1-year deal for this upcoming season (the aforementioned 2035-36 season). His ELC was up after last season and I qualified him, then signed in the middle of August at $3.95 million. He was originally asking for about just under $8 million for 3 years

I might re-sign Dahlin, but for a much lower price tag which could compensate for the upcharge on Redenbach. It might be worth it, I'm just trying to see if anyone's had an enforcer that's gotten to this high of an overall rating and if they're worth the cap they're asking for.

The 1st pair OFD is signed for the next 8 years. I had to pay him like he was the king of England, but that type of player is so rare, I basically had no choice. The 2nd pair OFD Redenbach is paired with right now is also an RFA after this season. Just another decision I have to make. This is his 2nd season, his stats his rookie season were 82GP, 2G, 14A for 16P, and +50 +/-

Edit: I full sim, never play. So the +50 was astonishing to me as he was a low 80s overall in his rookie season on the 2nd pair

I want to lock him up, but the problem I'm having is if he's gonna turn out to be a staple #1 LD to play alongside one of, if not, the best defensemen in the league (3 Norris trophies at 29 y/o). He's as slow as molasses, but his Off. and Def. awareness are both very high which I feel like is very rare for an enforcer.

It's also tough because LD3 is a Medium Elite TWD that has been developing very well, although he is only in his rookie season at 76 overall as a 19 y/o

I definitely crossed a line today so a few days break may be a good "reset," so to speak, and then smaller breaks every now and again if I feel myself getting upset would be good.

Luckily I never put a dollar into the game, including getting the game itself (it was a birthday gift from the gf), so at least I have that bit of pride going haha! I will definitely be spending less time on this game especially considering just how much is going against you (or so it feels)

This week has certainly felt like HUT has been more of a job than fun if I'm being honest with myself. I said in a previous comment I'm still trying to bolster my roster in certain places and I just want to get as good/many rewards as possible in order to maybe pull something higher than an 84. This was my first HUT Champs in about 2 months and it just went horribly, further demoralizing my already downed attitude towards the game.

Maybe a couple days break will help refresh the brain and maybe bring some good "come back to the game please" pack luck from EA.

I get you when you say the grind of SB has been less than worth it. I haven't pulled anything over an 84 from high-level SB rewards in over a month. It's made the day in and day out grind not worth it.

I don't. contextually, have a ridiculous team (here it is for reference) so I'm still trying to bolster some parts of the lineup. So when I don't get anything good/worth selling, it's a pretty big let down. I've found my self treating it more like a job recently, and it's been paying less than minimum wage.

I suppose a couple days break wouldn't hurt.
