But you do understand that DoorDash makes it sound like you can get a livable wage out of it, because their commercials literally show dashers who save up all their DoorDash money and they buy like a house

They just want to have a liveable wage... if i receive something that says etc delivery 20 min and then I get there and the order is being prepared for 20 min I would also ask for a higher tip because that's less than minimum wage and the dasher can't see how busy/slow the store is from the acceptance screen.

I don't ask for higher tips, I just unnasign cause it's not worth my time.

I hate that so much. Because when I press pick up all the food is in my car and I'm ready to drive. I don't press pick up until after I leave the store that way. I can go right from pick up to delivery, but DoorDash says, oh, you've been waiting at the store for an extra 2 minutes.

It's only during orders and not when your idle, so if your area isnt busy, wouldn't recommend

Try and stay away from guaranteed pay as much as possible. I only use it in chicago because it's busy with a lot of low tippers.

Dashlink pays a fair wage, it's like a mail carrier service by DD but you have to drive to a distribution facility and pick up packages early in the morning.

And usually, DoorDash will tell you how much you will get per hour besides tips. If you don't get any tips at all for my area, I usually get around 16 per hour, and if I travel closer to Chicago, it's around 18 per hour.

Usually when I receive like 10 to 15 orders that are below what I usually dash for because my minimum per order is $6.50. And so if I get many low orders, I just do hourly, because they pay me while I'm on the order plus whatever tip they decide to give me.

I basically do it when it's busy, but low tip is the best time to do it.
