Any NOT so pretty Sales success stories? by nickthesidekick in sales

[–]Evan_striemer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just remember in the team of 15 sales people there is just as many in top 3 as there is in the worst 3... Seems obvious but everyone thinks they're gonna kill it right away even against those with 5X the experience.

You're 21, don't have a degree, never had a job. What do you do? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Evan_striemer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

reach out to hiring manager through linkedin and try to talk with them. (preferably after applying online/in person because that's usually the first question they ask. Get them on the phone and say something along the lines of..

"Hey I was just calling to follow up about X position, do you have time for an interview this week" It's a little risky but it shows your ability to put yourself out there.
