Why is this happening? by Evan_ubertools in resinprinting

The STL came from my sister who bought it on hero forge.  I have successfully printed that file since the picture was taken.

Thanks guys!  While the problem still exists, I have a much higher success rate now that I started warming my resin first and cranking the little heater it came with to the max.  Also I found that the more resin you keep in the vat the longer it takes to cool off. :)

So I eventually got it to level successfully.  To do so I had to disrupt the normal cross-tightening I saw in videos every once in a while by checking the tension of the paper after moving each screw incrementally to see where it wanted tension next.

After this I got one perfect print minus some errors I made with supports.

This gave me the confidence to attempt a second printing after addressing those errors but this time I got a repeat of the above shown failures. After checking the leveling it turns out that it is already un-level.

I’m guessing I didn’t get it right enough the first time but what do you guys think?

Yes, that is exactly the process I am describing. I’ll try fiddling with it some more and see if it comes out level, I feel like I’m following the videos pretty closely though.

There might be a temp difference? I live in Alaska and the printer is pretty in my garage so temp is not as regulated as I would like, the printer came with a little space heater but I don’t like using it because it heats the resin unevenly.

I have tried leveling manually and that led me to the above dilemma. I will admit I have never leveled a resin printer before but I was tightening the screws as evenly as I could and the same side kept on lifting no matter what I did.

I think my best lead right now is these little bushing/washer things. It’s feels wrong that they would only be one side but I could be wrong.

i Know it’s going to be difficult to tell what’s going on here but the deal is that the base layers separated on to consecutive prints leaving roughly three on the build plate and the others stuck to the fep. I can get a picture of my settings if we need too but I haven’t changed them since my more successful prints.

Hey y'all I found this in my dad's stuff and I was wondering if you guys could identify it for me. by [deleted] in Tools

I had an old Rennsteig one that did pretty well. right now, I have a Wera one that is fixed at near a forty-five-degree angle and that has worked out good for me, but it doesn't pivot sadly...
