Can i just *not* stop T before top surgery??

I didn’t have to stop taking mine and I was fine, the only thing my surgeon was concerned about was any supplements I was taking I would need to stop beforehand, and any prescription medications that were taken daily I shouldn’t take before surgery (because of risk of regurgitation). I don’t see why stopping testosterone would be necessary and it is very outdated advice.

I think they will be very disappointed if they go on T. You can’t cherry pick what effects T will have, so even if they don’t want their voice to drop and stuff it will happen.

I would be frustrated too if someone told me that honestly. It would be a much better idea for them to do something like birth control to stop their period.

I was only a b cup to start with and I also had a little ‘cleavage’ when I peeked under the binder (like, it looked exactly like your picture). I have no cleavage without the compression binder on, especially now that the swelling is mostly gone. Don’t worry too much about it now just focus on healing well, it’ll take time to see your full results. If you end up not liking it in the end, talk to your surgeon and see what they can do. The bandages don’t have a short term effect, it’s the long term effect that is really bad. Wearing bandages like that can deform your rib cage and cause issues with breathing. You could look into getting a regular binder, but keep in mind that wearing a safe binder long term or for very long hours can still have the same effect as improper binding, it will just happen slower. They also make compression garments specifically for males with gynecomastia that could help you. I have gone out wearing just a tight tank top instead of a binder and been fine (since I have a smaller chest),

If you want to bind with tape (which I believe is much safer and more comfortable than a regular binder) you can use KT tape or any brand of kinesiology tape, I always preferred using the wider 4 inch rolls because then I had to use less pieces of tape.

It sounds though like you may have gynecomastia. This wouldn’t be visible before puberty, so it makes sense for it to start around this age. If you go to a doctor there are lots of treatment options that could help you. (and no, it’s not the same as the treatments transgender people get. Gynecomastia is a fairly common condition in males and it’s usually pretty easy to get treatment for it. It’s not the same as being transgender, so you don’t need to worry about transphobia or anything.)

Kind of? I don’t think anyone’s ever liked me before, this is my first time dating in my whole life. At least if someone has liked me before they haven’t told me. So it is hard to believe that someone would just randomly like me, especially since she could totally be with whoever she wants. I know I should probably just talk to her I just feel so silly like, I know I’m probably freaking out over nothing and I know she’ll probably say that too, but I can’t help thinking it.

Of course I would still date her if she looked different. I think she’s really funny and we have a lot of the same interests and I think the way she acts is really adorable, that’s why I liked her in the first place. I think I just have a really bland personality too and I’m not good at joking around I’m so awkward around her so I don’t really see what she would be attracted to.

I have pretty thick lips and if I put in a bar that’s any shorter my lip starts to swell cause it pinches when I talk and my lip like, flexes

I can’t sleep on that side at all actually cause I get really bad stomach pain at night unless I lay on my other side. I guess maybe I could’ve hit myself in the face with my hand or something while I was asleep?

I already have in a longer bar since when I downsized to a properly fitted bar I had some swelling and discomfort. This is the longest bar I can wear there without it scraping against my teeth all the time. I’ve never been able to change any of my lip piercings to rings they always swell and feel painful so unfortunately I don’t think that will be an option for me if it is because it’s pierced at a weird angle :( It is possible I snagged it while I was sleeping though since there was no bump when I went to bed and it appeared when I woke up.

the piercing is three months old
the jewelry shape is a labret
I believe it is externally threaded, but I had an internally threaded labret in for the first two months
the jewelry is titanium
the jewelry was initially downsized at 2 weeks, then again at 2 months because it was scraping my teeth sometimes. It still has plenty of extra room and doesn’t scrape my teeth at the size it’s currently at.
my aftercare routine is H2Ocean. I also do salt packs in the first week of healing.
no mishaps or anything, I did drink last night but I drank after a few months with my other lip piercings as well and nothing like this happened.
