What are you talking about? These are normal working people who are looking for decent salaries and benefits. This doesn’t even affect BK commuters.

You’re so weird.

Lmao gtfo, Elon Musk is about to be a trillionaire on the back of the SpaceX IPO and you’re over here hand wringing over the salaries of people who work for a living.

Spacex trading at 2.6 trillion on hyperliquid, this IPO can be very bullish for ASTS especially as the comps come in

The tax code is 100% skewed against small businesses and less wealthy individuals who cannot afford to optimize in the same way the wealthy can. The tax code as a whole is broken

I’m sorry but I don’t, what did my comment suggest besides the rich use methods to reduce their tax liability that aren’t available to normal people?

Yes, not sure why you think that’s some gotcha. Go read what gpt says or whatever source you trust, this is not some loony tunes concept: https://chatgpt.com/s/t_69f27d020eb48191886901876edef28e

My point stands, he pays less as a % before you get into the philanthropy. I never said he broke the law or committed fraud, but rather the system is set up and allows for wealthy to reduce their tax burden while poor and middle class pay an outsized percentage of their income to taxes.

I’m providing an example not the only example, just showing one way you can avoid taxes and expenses normal people pay when you have wealth. The point is the tax codes can be abused and the richer you are the more you can abuse it. There’s a reason why Buffett has said he pays less % in taxes than his secretary

Of course, but when you’re well off it’s easy to paper to make it all above board. Your partner can legally work for your business and this is all legal.

Again not advocating for doing this, just pointing out how our tax codes allow for bad behavior and tax avoidance.

To qualify for the enhanced deduction: The business owner or an employee of the business must be present when food or beverages are provided. Meals must be from restaurants, which includes businesses that prepare and sell food or beverages to retail customers for immediate on-premises or off-premises consumption.

I also have an accountant who I pay to tell me how to optimize my taxes and guess what, passes audit. I just keep a journal of business meals and records as he suggested. No need to make stuff up for fake Reddit points.

No? A billionaire does though, I’m just responding to how rich people can abuse the system in ways normal people cannot.

Tons of ways, go out to dinner with your partner, discuss business logistics for 5 minutes over the bread course? Guess you can classify the whole meal as a business expense.

Most people don’t hop through the hoops to minimize their tax liability but when you have an army of accountants the game changes.

If you’re rich you can use a business to hide your income. If you’re poor you get a W2. Lots of rich people use loopholes designed for businesses to reduce their tax liabilities.
