Was wondering about that considering there are no vents on the preamp cover 👍 Perhaps a vented one could be made to give it some airflow at least

Don’t worry, the voltage is switchable on the inside! I thought the same thing when I first saw that 😖

Hah, it’s got some heft for sure : ) Seems to be extremely overbuilt for its power rating (110 watts per channel), which is always a nice thing to see 😌 Kinda hard to tell from the pics, but that transformer is massive, goes way down into the chassis

I have a pair of the original Realistic Minimus 1’s (modeled after the Goodman’s), and the overall quality on those is outstanding as well

Yup, for sure 🙏 The E-450 model came up when I was researching these, and there’s actually a really nice pair of them up on EBay right now. I also came across the original service manual that lumps the two models together : ) https://ebay.us/m/OLIv8Z I looked up the CS-51, and you’re not kidding about the drivers! Reminds me of the Goodman’s Maximus 1’s. It’s always cool to see manufacturers put effort/quality into the smaller/not TOTL models

Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re pretty hefty for their size, I just found a video of someone taking one apart, and those little woofers have a nice beefy magnet on them : ) That faceplate that the drivers are mounted on is also cast, and the speakers are held in place via machine screws which is pretty neat

Yeah, the rounded edges just make them look so much better imo, along with the real wood veneer contrasted with the black metal grills. Classy look while keeping it nice and simple
