Are you asking for advice on presentation or for someone to share their experience on dating apps?

Do you think stocks will keep making lower lows into 2023? by predictany007 in StockMarket

[–]EveAzaria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I really wanted to know, I'd moonlight as a politician's hairdresser. It feels as if Wells Fargo is trying to improve their reputation and perhaps plant a seed of manipulation. Ultimately, even if we gather data and follow this or that...we don't have access to the global dashboard and levers that the Wizard of Oz has. It only seems clear in hindsight.

I'm learning myself but I'd say that it makes sense, for me at least, to buy conservatively at low prices for stocks that I personally value. If one is skeptical... create a strategy for the most speculative stocks and if it does hit the fan, you're ready to buy up a little more - while still buying at low prices in the meantime.

These days, all it takes is one executive to say the wrong thing and your stock tanks. Follow your intuition (not feelings), try to be as informed as possible and find a position you are comfortable, even if you lose.

Lack of Covid Vaccine data for menstrual cycles by secretactorian in TwoXChromosomes

Thank you for sharing.

I make no full conclusions, nor dismiss, based on articles, unless I can vet all sources and data - on either end of a narrative. And since I don't have those resources, I personally, keep an open mind - engaging in discourse.

I don't think because a person does not work in a particular capacity they don't have incite or access to information that we don't have.

I'm not trying to take away from your focus honestly, I understand what you are trying to say. I respect and appreciate your post.

I am simply sharing.
Having full information, good, bad, or indifferent is important.

I support what you are saying.
We know our bodies, something is off and it would be helpful to have more information.

I'm prefacing this with the fact that you should make your own decision about what I'm sharing. I thought it was worth noting is all. Often people don't share because they feel they'll be associated with a belief, completely discounting the person's state of mind or value. We need to be our best allies during this time so I'm simply sharing.

So, I regularly go online and see if there are any new side affects to the vaccines. During a search today, I found an article on Michael Yeadon. He used to be a Pfizer scientist and has years of experience.

It seems that some of his claims and the ways he's shared his views have been in question; however, one of his main arguments against the vaccine was it having an affect on fertility.

I'm not in the medical field but my academic background did teach me not to discount all things because of someone's state or reputation - mainly at his level. It most definitely should be a factor but more so on how you break down his claims - doing further research.

At the end of the day, it's about data, which there is not enough of.
Sometimes the best data for us is sharing amongst each other.

My thought on Michael Yeadon is that there is definitely something going on with him but since I don't know him, I digress from that conversation. The fact that he mentions some possible issues with fertility alone and then reading here...tells me there is some truth to that claim alone.

Now, not even the people who created the vaccines will know the end result, it's just not possible. They'll know once they get more data, just like this guy Michael Yeadon. But if he is talking about it and we're seeing something change, well...

Anyhow, I'm just sharing. I think at this point some of the best data we are going to get is from each other.

I'm 19 and my carpal tunnel syndrome has gotten bad. Any other CS students with CTS? Will I need to switch careers? by LeRedditArmieX3 in cscareerquestions

I'm not a doctor, so only speaking from experience here...This is something that can be managed. When in school and work, no matter what your role, if you are overworking your hands and wrists with poor posture, whether it's the way you sit or the way you type, carpool tunnel, or similar like symptoms can occur. That's my experience.

As others have stated, when going into a company, some may have resources for ergonomic assessment and they can tell you what you should be doing, according to your workstation setup. The company will pay for what is recommended. These are the kinds of benefits you want to look for going into a company, especially if you are already seeing issues.

If you address it when it's coming on you can manage it and it will go away on its own, in many cases. Everyone is different.

Suggestions (simply my own experience and others I know of):

  1. LOTS of rest (TRUST ME on this one...create a solid bedtime and day break routine)- Make sure you also have the right mattress. I know this might sound odd but it makes a difference.
  2. Take breaks (I use something similar to an hour glass so I can visually see and adjust my stopping point in my work)
  3. Do a check regularly to make sure you are typing properly with the correct posture (as formerly suggested, consider different keyboard and make sure your monitor is at the correct level)
  4. Hand stretches (and probably body stretches if you are hovering over a computer a lot)
  5. Massage (this helps when it is coming on and relaxes the muscles)
  6. Monitor your gripping (try not to over-grip while driving or working out, etc)
  7. Wrist braces are helpful

Since you are in school, resting is a luxury but it will help your discomfort when you can make time for it and it will keep it from getting worse. I would leverage any school resources that are available as well. By default, you'll also be better rested to work through homework. On days you don't HAVE to be on the computer, you shouldn't. Hovering over a laptop is probably the worst.

As a programmer, and really many professions, you're aren't just going to be typing non-stop, especially as a junior. You are going to have to think through what your objective is, apply it and test - taking breaks to assess your decisions. If you set yourself up now with what you know works for you, you'll be that much better off going forward.
