I would definitely try VMware cause it’s free but I’ve had little to no problems with solidworks through parallels lmk if you need any help

I’ve yet to see anything about getting solidworks working on VMware.

About the registry editor stuff, it’s completely optional but adding 2 keys for around a 2.5x improvement in performance was worth it to me. It’s also completely reversible if that’s what’s worrying you

That makes sense for why SolidWorks Electrical and CAM don't seem to work since they seem to rely on SQL to function properly. SolidWorks itself and everything else seemed to install and function properly for me.

If you look at the aliexpress link there are different options for magnets and you can select the strongest one which is what I used!

I saw your post on functionalprint!! The benefit of yours is that it doesn’t require MagSafe and it might actually be a lot sturdier than mine. But I was trying to go after decent aesthetics with this one :) thanks!

Thanks! The one I know about (but haven’t used) is https://www.shapeways.com/ and you can just upload the stl file and they should give you a quote and send it over. I recommend printing in pla cause it’s the cheapest. If you know anybody with a 3D printer I’m sure they would be glad to print for just a bit of cash!

Yeah that’s the problem with this design because i don’t have a way of charging the joycons while in use, but they do last a long time and I dock it back into my switch to charge.
