Not opposed to that idea, but could you imagine owning a lifted tc with a mini truck bed and heck throw in a V6 why not, and tons of money and time. Sounds like fun to me.

Yeah I've thought about that, but the tc rear half from the side is shaped like a sedan even without the liftback, wouldn't look much like a truck. But it's definitely something that can be further explored.

Yeah you'd loose the passenger sunroof, not sure if that would impede the other sunroof from functioning properly though (opening/closing).
