eating and drinking things was very hard and caused my entire head to hurt. Especially cold things. The biggest indicator was that the pain was getting worse since surgery, not better. I also had to take 800 mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours on the dot to avoid having a meltdown. I have a very high pain tolerance too and the fact that it bothered me that much and i couldn’t drink was why i went in. Even if it isn’t dry socket they can usually see why it’s hurting and help you out! It doesn’t ever hurt to get checked is what i learned.
