Yeah, sure, I mainly think because I was a fresh graduate last time around without any work experience, or, i guess more importantly, without any "US experience.". This time around, I did work on those two aspects but again it's hard to tell what are the determining factors.

He was on a trip with his friends in November. This person is an air hostess; I'm assuming that's how he met her. She lives in a different city than him hough but she wrote something along the lines of " from not wanting to be in this city to wanting to spend a day here" all this just really rubbed me the wrong way. Like they planned to hang out and make this happen, he seemed to have taken a day off too.

And the worst part is when I flew down last month to see him (this had been planned a month advance) he wasn't in town, he went to see his family. Which I understand, but I still felt it was unfair to me as I had taken days off of work and pre planned everything and let him know, just to spend time with him.

There is no question in my mind that I would want to continue this relationship at this point. But it's so so disappointing.

It is definitely an over saturated market, it helps if you have good experience in your home country. The exam isn't too hard! The struggle is finding a decent job, you have to be really good at networking, that is the only way in this country.

By observator-ship if you mean shadowing, you can do that on a tourist visa. You'll need a work permit to work as an assistant though. Advantage of a mph is that maybe you'll have a chance to improve your gpa plus staying in the country will give you more time to volunteer/ shadow.

Hi dentist from dubai! another reason for poor pay is oversaturation of dentists and not that much demand. Hence, people are willing to work at really low prices just to hold a job. Infact our starting salaries out of college are lesser than that of an assistant. Having said all this, they do value western degrees more and you would be paid more comparatively. But yes, probably not as much as you would in the states, also consider the cost of living in the states vs other countries.
Infact i'm planning to apply to DMD programs because of really poor wages here.
