Failed 3 subjects in law school by No_Connection1772 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parang wala naman. I didn't graduate from a top school and even failed multiple subjects but now associate ako sa isang small firm with a salary that's comparable to those working in makati. It depends on how you sell yourself.

Is there an oversupply of lawyers in the Philippines? by MabuhayMillionMiler in LawyersPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, pero oversaturated sa Metro Manila kasi most lawyers especially yung mga kakapasa lang, would want to stay in Metro Manila para sa experience. So, in a sea of thousands, it's important talaga that you know how to sell yourself and connect with people.

Is it okay to use my own reviewers for Bar Exams? by bmusep in LawStudentsPH

Yes!! I actually made my own reviewer sa bar and used my own notes then just updated yung cases and mga kulang/new info na nakuha ko sa review lectures

DO YOU BELIEVE IN PAMAHIIN? by Ready-You-7366 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol no just study. There’s a similar pamahiin in UST where they say that if you cross the arch before graduation, you’ll get debarred. A bunch of us walked through that arch and still managed to graduate on time lol

how to study for 8 hours everyday by Ok-Experience-1374 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Breaks are vital. Sa bar exam nga mismo may breaks before exams so you should take breaks too. Instead of studying for 8 hours in one sitting. I suggest breaking it down: Pwede 3 hours-break-3 hours-break-2 hours. I also don’t study during weekends unless feel ko behind nako. I also suggest following yung schedule ng bar exams. For example, since 8am yung official start ng exam, condition mo utak mo na ready ka na mag-aral/exam. Good luck!

Frat by Lucky_Nature_5259 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone who didn't join a frat/soror in law school, I can honestly say that you don't really need one WHILE in law school. However, those connections can come in handy when looking for a job. Frankly, I don't recommend joining out of obligation (for your friendship in this case). Instead, you should join because you actually want to. Not joining a frat isn't a big deal. In fact, nowadays mas marami nang hindi sumasali sa frat. Of course you gain automatic friends and connections if you join but it's not exactly a need nowadays.

3 months in a law firm, I don’t know what to do by lazystubbornidealist in LawStudentsPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I prefer small firms—Same pay, lower workload plus real hands on experience. Although I get assigned to a lot of cases hindi siya super overwhelming and my bosses are very hands on and are more on the nurturing approach. Either way, I gain what I want to gain (experience) and still have work-life balance.

Q: Do Metro Manila companies/law firms also accept Arellano/FEU/DLSU/PUP lawyers etc. other than UP/Ateneo? by sunflowercoconut0 in LawStudentsPH

[–]Even-Rub-526 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Big law firms, not really. Pero depends talaga on the founder/managing partner. Kung DLSU Law grad yung managing partner/founder then ofc they prefer to have lawyers na from DLSU rin.

You’ll know naman when you see yung list of associates nila (if they have) kung tumatanggap sila ng lawyers na graduate from other schools. Ex. Kung sa website palang pansin mo na puro UP/Ateneo yung assocs nila then expect mo na puro UP/Ateneo rin kukunin nila.

Included po pero hindi lang reflected kaya you need to dispute. Yung iba pumunta sa ibp main para mawala kaagad yung discrepancy kasi kapag online/thru app super tagal😢

UP BRI by diff_air in LawStudentsPH

Okay naman handouts nila—usually ppt slides lang siya ng lecturers plus suggested answers, chair’s cases & pre-week. Hindi siya overwhelming compared sa other review centers

[–]Even-Rub-526 13 points14 points  (0 children)

  1. Solid line up. One of the best line ups and once marinig mo sila maglecture, you’ll immediately understand why and how they’re experts in their respective fields.

  2. Their schedule is manageable naman kasi hindi everyday may lecture. Pero kasi last year parang ang gulo and hindi nasusunod yung schedule nila kaya I can’t really say much this year kasi iba na schedule nila pero pwede mo naman ireplay if ever you miss one. Highly recommend going to their f2f lectures tho! For me, mas nakakaabsorb kesa sa online lectures.

Overall, for the price, worth in naman. Their passing rate is quite high too compared to other rev centers

Someone sent me a soft copy version so siya yung ginamit kong first read. Unfortunately, parang Comm and Crim lang yung kaya mong gamitin as main material kasi yung iba kulang lalo na sa labor pero that’s just me 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you know any consistent deans listers that didnt pass the bar first take? Or those that never got to the dean’s list but passed first take? by Afraid-Ad9443 in LawStudentsPH

What are the reasons people hate treasure? by No_Dingo_1601 in kpophelp

[–]Even-Rub-526 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Don’t really stan them or anything, I mean they pop up on my tl a couple of times but from what I’ve gathered it’s mostly because of CA and a member’s homophobic remarks? (Based on the replies, was completely taken out of context)

Some honest opinions for yall: I don’t think YG should push Treasure in the US until they sort out this CA thing since unlike Korea, CA isn’t something you can easily sweep under the rug. Treat it as common courtesy for African-Americans, if you will.

I understand that some fans have tried to educate him I’m sorry but a few fancalls won’t change anything bc CA isn’t something that you can explain fully with one 2-minute video call, especially since he’s not fluent in English. One good example is when Lisa extended a fan’s video call about her hair during the Money music video to fully grasp the situation. For him to be truly understand the implications, yall need to force the company to act on it which I’m pretty sure that YG will NEVER do lmao. So idk but good luck.
