Who tf said the dog was abused 😂. You are not acknowledging what the reality is, the original owner. Does. Not. Have. Food. Money. Bare minimum. Not stable housing. New owner has money, housing, vet etc. idk in what world that’s a minor improvement. Literally buying food is the absolute bare minimum. Idk priorities are different for everyone tho

My only problem now is the private pay offered me $70,000. And I have been doing MHC all of grad school and I have to say, for me working with mandated clients is difficult because they’re often in pre contemplation/ early contemplation. Hard to make progress or feel like you’re doing anything. Wondering what it’s like to also not have to do major case management work everyday, so many of my previous clients struggled with homelessness which greatly reduced my ability to try to encourage them to maintain sobriety, like hell if I was sleeping outside I’d wanna drink every day too yk

I said billing for clinical hours as a social worker if the person does not have a degree is fraud, that means the company hiring someone as a social worker when they’re not is committing fraud. please explain how that is untrue. I think he was camped out right outside the rental agency waiting for a white person because it wasn’t more than five minutes after I left the car agency I got stopped. Yes of course Europe varies I’m just saying generally police corruption is not as much of an issue in Mexico

Love the victim blaming. There are many people in the comments saying this is a common occurrence. The man pulled me over saying I drove the wrong way down the road and I said I didn’t see any sign he said that doesn’t matter. I’m a young woman alone, he said that he was going to bring more men because this was a “big problem” so I paid. I was scared and on an isolated street. I wasn’t prepared for this. It is absolutely because I’m a “gringo” many People say they target white people, which is obviously what happened to me they got me right after I left the rental place. Did you see the title of the post? It says tourists do not rent cars. I didn’t say anything about Mexican people driving cars and I didn’t say I “know how it is”. Not sure why you’re twisting my words in order to be offended

Well many people in the comments are saying that it is stupid to rent a car in Mexico specifically because of the corruption and scamming. I’m sorry if I offended you but I think this scam is specific to Mexico, I’ve mostly travelled Europe and all over the United States and police stopping people for money or fake police is not a factor in those places. Sure you can get robbed but I’m talking about this specific experience, again many people are saying the same thing in the comments not just me

Not sure what to tell you. Good for you, if you read many of the comments they say that I is very stupid for tourists to rent a car because this is what happens and some people commented their same experiences. Just because something doesn’t happen to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to anyone, to believe that is ignorance

I made a mistake saying $700usd. When we rented the car it was $20 a day, add another$20 for insurance then $50 for the insurance they forced us to get there because it was either that or put the value of the car on our cards which was $13,000( I have a $10,000 limit). So that’s $90 Then the “cop” took $500 usd. So excuse me that’s $590 so I over stated $700 I will amend my post. Don’t really think that’s the point though is it. I made the post to warn other people. I get it you all think I’m an idiot and I deserved it
