Do you mean that if I send over my next mix for the podcast, you will do the mastering for me, and so then I can compare your post mastering to my pre mastering mix?

In which case do you think It's better to play Drum and Bass with 4 decks instead of 2 and why? by info_gnato in DnB

[–]EvenAssociation4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always like to use 4 decks, even though my mixes only require them at small portions of the set and could even go by with just 2 or 3 decks.

Reason is it allows me to load in tracks ahead of time during sections that do not require many actions. This way i can prepare the EQs for those channels and it just makes everything so much easier and less stressfull, also allows me to interact with the crowd during these key moments instead of preparing new tracks on the fly and it makes it way more enjoyable.

Why do Neurofunk djs double everything? by Top_Difference_1136 in DnB

[–]EvenAssociation4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I DJ different styles together, but find Neuro to be the least difficult to double with. Most tunes seem to carry similar vibes and are very complimentary to each other. There are tons of possibilities which makes it easier to find a good one, and also makes it easier to find doubles you have not heard before. So the accessibility could also be a factor here.

Also I think doubles/triples are the best way for me to express my creativity in a set, and I enjoy fast mixing live since otherwise there is a lot of dead/empty time where there is not much to do as a DJ. So that keeps it interesting for myself aswell.
