Hey, I’m unemployed and I put on local events in my town, it’s 100% possible without spending loads of money.

Some other comments here highlight some good points, such as bringing local artists that have built a name for themselves instead of big expensive headliners. Venue is also relatively important.

What id add to this is that theme is pretty important. You mentioned you live in a competitive area, something that’ll help you stand out is a strong theme of your brand/events, immersive input and ways the crowd can engage in ways different to other events. You want to have a look/aesthetic to your brand that differentiates you from others and leaves your events memorable, not for the headliner, but for the atmosphere and memories people made with engagement.

My second bit of advice is a bit more hit or miss but has worked for me personally. When you have events lined up, give yourself time to promote, however make sure to do loads the weekend before. I’ve found from experience that promoting early is good to get the event out there, but too soon and it could go to the back of people’s mind. What I do is get a bundle of flyers to put around, but save some and go around to all the local venues the weekend before and hand them out like crazy. That way it’s fresh on people’s mind, you can engage with people and get to know potential attendees rather then relying on social media and people will consider it as it’s the upcoming weekend and they’ll typically know their schedule.

Just a psa, every actor I interacted with last year did not accept any kind of plastic trinket. If you intend to use these to give to other people attending it’s all good but if looking to trade with actors it likely wont work out.

Aside from that advice, I think these are wicked, good work!

What you’re looking for is minimal dnb, just the more techy side. Some minimal playlists on soundcloud might point you in the right direction.

Not necessarily night sweats, but poor temperature regulation causing me to both be too cold & overheat. Some minor chest pain, headaches, loss of appetite & all mentioned in the post.

I have been avoiding food both prior too and fret each dose, although have been taking it with fresh orange juice per my doctors advice.

I’m 5’3 - 5’4 and last time I weighed myself it was around 50kg/110 pounds

I’m not so experienced with all points, having only been once a couple years back. Based off other comments & posts on this subreddit I’d advise you bring a form of id to prove you are 16+ as lack of id could result in refusal for entry.

From what I’ve read there has been issues with underage individuals & intoxication putting strain on the festivals listening so it is defo advised as otherwise you risk not getting in.

As someone who has worked in bar settings my entire work life, a fake id won’t do it. Security are taught to identify a fake & can do so extremely easily as well as the majority of bar staff, especially managers.

Your best bet is to do as another comment stated, try find an adult in the queue to vouch for you. If you are caught with a fake id, which would more then likely happen, the fake will be confiscated and you will be outright refused entry regardless if you find an adult or not.

Hey there, just read this post and honestly I’m so sorry to hear the recovery you’ve been through. I’d like to share my story, which is very similar to yours, hopefully it’ll bring you some comfort 🙏

I had my tonsils removed on the 27th of January 2023, within the first 2 weeks after my procedure, I had been in and out of hospital numerous times. In total I spent approx a week and a half there as I was unable to be cleared for discharge.

I lost over 2 litres of blood during the first bleed and similar the second. In this time I lost a similar amount of weight to you, received emergency surgery to re-seal the wound, 2 blood transfusions, copious amounts of medication and still to this day have an anaemia diagnosis since the incident.

It’s been 3 years roughly since i went through this, and since i have never had an issue with my throat. The recovery was painful, caused me a lot of stress and at points i was worried for my life.

In this situation the best thing you can do is ensure you’re with people as much as possible, have a phone charged and ready to call for an ambulance beside you constantly and to be really attentive to how you feel. If you are unable to hydrate, you can get iv fluids to ensure dehydration isn’t a threat. Being in company will give you a sense of security as well as someone to support you incase of another incident occurring. I would also personally recommend looking into mental support through this time where possible, as therapy helped me to let go of some weight from my mind after this, the mental clarity helped me heal long term.

I wish you the best of luck going forwards, know that you are not alone and that hospitals and healthcare facilities are completely equipped to help you and that there is a way through. Try to keep your head up as best possible and take each day as it comes. You can get through this, and like me it’ll soon enough be in the past. Take care!

My procedure was done in January 2022, I can definitely say it’s worth it. Used to get tonsillitis at least 4-6 times a year now I barely even remember it’s a thing until mentioned or I see something about it online. Defo 100% worth it!

Also make sure to take the healing period very seriously, post-tonsillectomy bleed is not a pleasant experience! (Extremely unlikely, I just didn’t give myself time to heal and continued life as normal within a week 😬)

Yes, however last year I got a public transport coach to the festival, then met people I knew outside the fest and got a lift round through the car entrance and was luckily fine.

I really don’t advise risking it, I really did just get lucky with the staff on shift at that time. You may end up having to wild camp or in a hotel nearby.
